If you love *tiella di Gaeta*, this trattoria is a must-see! The tiellas are exceptional, both in the traditional and reinterpreted versions. My favorite is the one with anchovies: it definitely deserves first place!
An added bonus is the carefully selected Italian and French wines that pair perfectly with the dishes.
A touch of color: the restaurant displays "Lavacapianse," the painting touted as a masterpiece in Bentivoglio and Orlando's surreal art infomercials in the film The Chair of Happiness. It was hilarious to see it in person 😄

I attended a tasting evening where I had the opportunity to sample tielle with various fillings (my favorite, the one with anchovies, but the one with onions also deserves applause) plus a few other dishes (I loved the plate ratings), all paired with four excellent white wines (two French and two Italian). The food and wines were excellent and well-matched, the place was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. A lovely discovery in this Roman summer, I'll definitely return to try tielle with other fillings and explore their well-stocked and original wine cellar.

I'm an older person and I had a great time. The Tielle di Gaeta and the food were excellent (I really enjoyed the anchovy meatballs). Kudos to the guys, I'll be back with my group of friends.

A wonderful experience; the homemade tielle are delicious. The recipes vary according to the season.
The wine tasting evenings, organized and led by a lover of niche French and Italian wines, were also very enjoyable.
The option to order and have the tielle delivered to your home was also very welcome.

Today I finally found a place in Rome where I could eat the REAL Gaeta tiella. Thanks to the hostess for her hospitality. We'll definitely be back to try the seafood specialties. Excellent!
