Sa Cardiga e Su Pisci In Muravera

A historic and renowned restaurant in Costa Rei, in Monte Nai, 300 meters from the sea. It has a parking lot with approximately 20 spaces, reserved only because of signs, but other cars are also available. Located in a small cluster of restaurants that typify the town's central area. Recently renovated, the restaurant blends modern style with traditional touches, seating about 100 people in the garden, porch, and indoor areas. Primarily known for its seafood, although it also offers meat-based dishes. The menu isn't extensive, but the dishes are refined and beautifully presented, with gourmet pretensions. The wine list is also good. The wait staff is very friendly and always available to accommodate your needs. We tried the seafood appetizer tasting menu, which was satisfying, except for one dish featuring farro and seafood, which we found to be flavorless. We then waited over half an hour for the first courses, but the seafood pasta was excellent, as was the linguine creamed in salted butter, loin roe, stracciatella, and red shrimp tartare; it's a shame the latter arrived practically cold. The dessert selection was also good. The bill was quite reasonable, in line with other restaurants in the area. Our expectations were probably too high, so we weren't entirely satisfied. It's still worth trying.

Beautiful place, young and slightly awkward waiters. The food is beautifully presented on a giant monitor showing the preparations in the kitchen. It's a shame they don't respect what arrives at the table. The dishes served aren't bad, but they don't live up to expectations, much less the price. A missed opportunity, barely three stars.

Elegant place and professional staff. Excellent dinner! The first courses are exceptional. We will definitely be back before the end of the holiday.

Certainly one of the best restaurants in Costa Rei, it is no coincidence that I was invited here by friends who have had their holiday home here for over forty years and obviously, having the means, they do not miss anything when they decide to go out for lunch or dinner. Better to book.

The food was spectacular. We ordered two types of pasta, and both were delicious, with generous portions and beautifully presented. The house wine they recommended was a great choice, and we also loved the dessert. They also had the nice touch of splitting it into two plates when they saw we were sharing, which was much appreciated. However, we found it very unfortunate that they charged €8 for "service." We understand a small supplement for bread or something symbolic, but charging for serving and serving, which is part of the restaurant's job, seems excessive and unjustified. It's a shame, because it detracts from an otherwise very good experience.
