Sa Cardiga e Su Pisci In Muravera

We had dinner at this restaurant tonight. The atmosphere is lovely and intimate, and the table service is well-managed. The restaurant aims high, perhaps too high given the prices and the quality of the fish, which in my opinion is questionable. The seafood-flavored linguine was linguine with tomato and basil, with three mussels, one shrimp that wasn't even cleaned, and some really tough squid. I didn't taste the fish; in Viareggio, at those prices, you eat fresh fish and you taste the fish. The grilled calamari—the sauce was good, as was the truffle—were a bit tough. The fried food was also good, and the rosemary mayonnaise was very good, but nothing exceptional, especially for the price. The dessert, coffee, and especially the wine were good. I was disappointed not to be served by the girl who initially started serving us because she was very nice and kind. The waitresses are good.

There's nothing wrong with the freshness of the seafood on offer, but we generally found the dishes too salty. The portions are rather small. The value for money isn't right for us.

Every time we come to Costa Rei, we can't help but enjoy this restaurant's delicious dishes. Excellent, everyone is excellent, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable.

We had dinner at Sa Cardiga e Su Pisci on a Friday evening while on vacation in Costa Rei. My girlfriend had been there before, and it was my first time. After consulting the menu and wanting fish, we opted for the €80 tasting menu, partly because it was affordable compared to the individual dishes. The menu included an entree, two appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, and desserts. The fish was superb; I really enjoyed the lightness of the fried octopus on a potato and lemon cream, but the first courses were also superb. The location is beautiful, and despite being crowded, the restaurant was very pleasant. The waiters were very kind and always ready to anticipate the guests' needs. The only flaw was perhaps the speed with which the dishes were served. There should have been a little more time between each dish, but instead it was all very quick, but that didn't detract from the high-quality evening we had.
