Everything here was amazing. The rooms, the view, the service, the pool, the breakfast, and even the restaurant in the hotel are absolutely perfect. This is easily one of the BEST places to stay in Varenna and if I ever get a chance to come back I know where I'll be staying.

Hotel Royal Victoria is simply dreamy. If Lake Como is your destination, then I cannot imagine a better hotel choice! The hotel staff, the breakfast, and the breath taking views, blew us all away and left me dreaming of when we can go back again!

If you are doing a trip to Lake Como and this hotel works within your budget, BOOK IT NOW. From research it seemed like Varenna was the best place to stay, and I can confirm it definitely was. As far as where to stay in Varenna itself, you can’t beat this location. Easy walk to all the main sights, restaurants, and transportation options. Beyond location, the hotel itself was perfection. Stunning views and photo ops, incredible staff, it was clean, AC worked great, and food options were all a big win (breakfast was a highlight every day - don’t skip the freshly squeezed orange justice) and it was overall just a beautiful hotel. If I ever have the opportunity to come back to Lake Como, staying at HRV is a non-negotiable.

Our experience at the Royal Victoria was outstanding. The room, overlooking the village, was both comfortable and welcoming. Be sure to visit Shady for lunch, where you’ll enjoy a spectacular view, and see Aziz after dinner for an excellent digestif.

We stopped for a coffee and found courtesy, kindness and professionalism. The barman was of a rare kindness. The place is wonderful, breathtaking view. A corner of paradise.
