12/05/2026: If you're in the Bicocca area of Milan, at university, or perhaps before or after a show at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi, and you're looking for an authentic, no-frills ethnic experience, this place is an interesting discovery.
As an expert in marketing and fine dining, I always seek the right balance between substance and context, and here Punjabi cuisine speaks honestly.
The strong point is undoubtedly the spicy dishes. I particularly enjoyed the trio of curries:
1. Mutton Madras: for those who love bold flavors and a warmth that envelops the palate, my favorite.
2. Mutton Curry: tender meat and a very well-balanced mix of spices.
3. Vegetable Curry: proof that even purely vegetable dishes can be a standout.
I would have loved to try the fish, but it was sold out and I don't like chicken.
The classics like Pani Puri and Palak Paneer are excellent. All accompanied by a fragrant Pulao Rice that provides the perfect counterpoint.
The Experience and the Venue
The interior is quite small and cozy, but the total capacity is surprising: between the indoor dining room and outdoor tables, it seats about 100.
The atmosphere is very informal and simple, ideal for those who prioritize the content of the dish over the aesthetics of the decor.
The Morelli Guide's verdict:
It may not be the restaurant you'd want to drive across the city for, but it's a smart choice and highly recommended if you're already in the area.
The prices are fair and the food is high-quality, making it one of the best ethnic cuisine options near Bicocca University for those seeking substance and bold flavors.
An excellent option for both students and for a tasteful start or end to the evening before or after a cultural event, while staying within a reasonable budget.
