The reviews were discouraging, but after looking at the menu, we decided to dine here, and... we did very well! The food was very good, and the staff were extremely friendly. The waiters at the outdoor gazebo were very kind and helpful. We'll definitely be back! Thanks again.

We had two delicious meals here during our holiday. The price-quality ratio is excellent. Delicious dishes at a fair price. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, making you feel welcome and taking the time to chat. This restaurant is highly recommended if you're visiting beautiful Merano.

To survive, you come here to eat... 2 years ago it was great... today the staff are unfriendly... the food was undercooked and my rump steak was unfortunately cold... was probably the last time I was here and definitely not recommended... unfortunately it has mutated into a backyard dive bar and has not developed further... a real shame

The service is reasonably fast and knows its usual dishes. Only when there are special requests or rare drinks does the staff seem a little overwhelmed, but they really try hard. Ambience: You can sit at the nice tables outside, in the pedestrian zone, or inside or in the pleasant winter garden. Food: We've been here several times over the past few years. We usually try their pizza menu and are always impressed by the quality. So, we really enjoy the food here. I would like one small improvement, though... knives that actually serve the purpose of a knife... cutting, that would be great.

Servizio attento ed impeccabile. Personale gentilissimo e proattivo. Splendida attenzione alle limitazioni alimentari. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo... uno dei migliori locali in via dei portici... lo consiglio vivamente... Ps. La pizza senza glutine era davvero buona e con tanto condimento! Anche il Camembert fritto con pere e mirtilli buonissimo e piatto abbondante! Torneremo a Luglio!

Trovato passando sotto i portici perché cecavamo un ristorante che facesse gli spatzle ,letto il menù siamo entrati e siamo stati subito accolti con cortesia e simpatia dal cameriere che poi ci ha servito,ci ha consigliato un ottimo vino e ci si poteva scambiare due chiacchiere piacevolmente,cibi,taglier rustico tipico con un buon speak e due buoni formaggi ,i due tipi di salami,uno era una salciccetta affumicata,niente di che,io le tagliatelle speak e porcini veramente ottime,complimenti,gli spatzle discreti ,pasta ottima ma il condimento con prosciutto cotto e panna no,nella terra dello speak usatelo al posto del cotto che va bene negli ospedali ,ottimo anche il prezzo,più che soddisfatto

30/09/2025: A very nice restaurant, and I had the best pizza of my life here. The people are very friendly, I highly recommend it.
13/09/2025: I stayed at the "Kreuzwirt" as a bus driver with a school class on a graduation trip. The first positive: a dedicated parking space was reserved for the bus. The second positive: a single room for me as the driver – with a direct view of the mobile equipment. The third positive: the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The fourth positive: breakfast and dinner were consistently excellent, although there was one downside: the group room for a hungry group of 40 people was definitely too small. This led to avoidable stress during the process. But: overall, the hotel is well-suited for school trips; even if it's located far back in the Ahrntal Valley and the drive to Bruneck takes three-quarters to a full hour. Last but not least, a heartfelt thank you for the "farewell drink." A nice gesture from the friendly host couple!

10/08/2025: We chose this local randomly, but were pleasantly surprised. One of the best aperols I’ve had, nice service and really cool vibe. Recommend!
05/08/2025: I've been there several times and highly recommend stopping by. The service is fast and very friendly. If you're looking for a place to grab a drink, well-made and with quick service, this is the place. Kudos to the waiter who served me on several occasions. Service like this makes me want to return.
