Riviera In Cernobbio

I booked a room with a balcony through Expedia, but upon arrival, we were told we couldn’t have it because we were staying only one night. The receptionist explained that those rooms are reserved for guests with longer stays. Additionally, the hotel is clearly short-staffed. Only one person seemed to be handling everything, and she prioritized her own convenience over guests’ experience. For example, although there are lovely outdoor tables with amazing views for breakfast, she refused to let us sit outside, saying it was too difficult for her to serve both inside and outside tables. The only positives were a clean bed and bathroom, which is why I gave 3 stars. Overall, very disappointing.

The hotel is right next to the lake, with only a road in between, and the room windows open directly to a beautiful lake view. In front of the hotel, by the lakeside, there are benches where you can enjoy your coffee while watching the sunrise. The owner was such a nice, warm, and attentive person. The building itself is very cute.

The hotel is located near a pier that provides access to other villages on the lake. A pleasant welcome. A very clean room with air conditioning. Breakfast is available on site, but without any pretensions. Unbeatable value for money for the region.

Wonderful hotel, great location, very helpful and kind owner, amazing view to Bellagio, 2 great restaurant next to the hotel. Its not luxurious, but if you would like to sleep in a classical italian style room, you will love this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay. It is an older style Italian hotel, but very well maintained. Our balcony looked right out at Lake Como; it was heavenly to sit there and read/ talk. We had the most wonderful breeze in our room, combined with a very comfortable bed we slept so well!!! Owner Silvia is fantastically friendly/ helpful, as is her wonderful dog Cookie. Several nice restaurants are right in the area, the bus stop is directly outside, and the ferry terminal is maybe 100 yards away. The only negative (very small negative) is the size of the room. But again, it is an older hotel so the room size that also adds to the charm. Highly recommended.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a special experience. The hotel proactively reached out to confirm our arrival time, and upon mid way our walk from the train station, they were waiting to greet us! We were immediately helped with our luggage and offered a refreshing prosecco on the balcony with absolutely spectacular views – what a welcome! Matteo was incredibly pleasant and made check-in a breeze. We had dinner at their sister company's restaurant, which again offered magnificent views, and were even driven there in a classic convertible by Davide – a fantastic touch! Our room was consistently clean and comfortable throughout our stay. The complimentary breakfast was perfect, with fresh ingredients and an incredibly lovely lady (apologies for not catching her name!) who made the experience even better. The convenience of being so close to both the train station and ferry port was a huge plus. We would absolutely stay here again without a doubt. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality!

En primer lugar tanto la pasta como la pizza fueron como se esperaba. Ambos llegaron en momentos muy diferentes, así que la pizza se enfrió esperando la llegada de la pasta. Sentimos como si nos apresuraran a ordenar y luego el servicio se ralentizó después de eso. No nos habíamos dado cuenta de que necesitábamos ir al restaurante de enfrente para pagar, así que esperé bastante tiempo a que alguien trajera la cuenta. Estábamos pensando en tomar un postre, pero nos rendimos después de esperar un tiempo. Había un montón de colillas en el suelo alrededor de las mesas. La pequeña botella de refresco Campari parecía sobreprecio en comparación con otros restaurantes de la zona.

Thanks to Mickaela and her brother Antonio for their kind welcome! The hotel is certainly a little outdated but very well located, close to the pier to go to the Bellagio AND above all it is located 800 meters on foot from Villa Carlotta and its fabulous gardens. I don't regret my choice and the value for money is great!
