We were there on February 15th, my wife and I, we went on an excursion and had lunch, in the cold we really enjoyed ourselves, beautiful place, good food and very kind staff.

Parte do da Cagliari è conveniente percorrere la strada nuova 125 direzione Jerzu e poi proseguire in direzione Ussassai. In circa 2 ore si arriva. Subito il panorama è il punto ristoro ci ha incantato. Abbiamo effettuato la prenotazione dell'escursione e del pranzo e abbiamo atteso la guida. Nicola ci ha illustrato alla perfezione e dettagliatamente il percorso e ciò che ci avrebbe fatto vedere. Cominciamo l'escursione e tra rumori dell'acqua che scorrev dai ruscelli, dalle cascate, il panorama e il silenzio del bosco non potevamo che essere super rilassati. Dopo 2 ore circa siamo rientrati al rifugio per il pranzo. Fin qui tutto bene. Iniziamo il pranzo con degli antipasti del territorio di salumi e formaggi, ottimi ma per 5 persone adulte un po misero(1 fettina a ciascuno di prosciutto, coppa, salsiccia e formaggio), degli altri assaggino ma non sufficienti per 5 persone. (Vedevamo che tavoli d 2 persone avevano le nostre stesse quantità)chiediamo del pane e rispondono che era terminato (10 minuti dall'inizio), ci servono 2 tipi di primi ottimi, passiamo alle verdure ok e attendiamo per la carne di 2 tipi (pecora e mailetto), accompagnate da appena una quindicina di patate al forno(poche per 5), ottime carni ma putroppo la pecora erano 3 pezzi e non abbiamo potuta assaggiarla tutti. Abbiamo chiesto ma era finita. Peccato. Continuiamo con i dolci, caffè e amari. Quasi tutto bene in compenso. Però visto che le recensioni devono essere costruttive e non distruttive darei ai titolari il consiglio di.... 1) assicurarsi che il pane non manchi mai. 2) le porzioni devono essere adeguate a tutti i commensali. 3) le bibite le includere nel menù perché chi non beve vino potrebbe bere un'altra bevanda senza doverla pagare. Noi abbiamo preso 1 coca cola a ciascuno al costo di 3€ cad. e visto che comunque il tutto è costato 10€ escursione, 50€ pranzo non abbondante per 5 persone il consiglio vhe do è includere le bevande. Abbiamo speso in totale 63 € a ciascuno. Mi sembra eccessivo il costo del pranzo a 50€ non allineato con altri agriturismo dove sono più generosi. Detto vio ciò ci torneremo ma credo solo per l'escursione.

Beautiful and interesting guided excursion, with a group of varied ages and experience. Our guide well explained some slightly more difficult passages and the various things encountered along the way. Always available for further explanations. Lunch was made up of adequate portions: ground appetizer, sliced ​​head, sweet and sour peppers, grilled courgettes and aubergines; the potato panadina was delicious. Followed by 2 first courses: malloreddus with ragù (good but slightly overcooked) and excellent culurgiones with butter and sage. The second course was roast porchetto (good) with side dishes of roast potatoes and carrots and fennel. Wine (1/2 litre) and water (1 litre), both in carafe. The cafe closed the lunch. Overall we are satisfied with the organization and the quality/price ratio

My boyfriend and I showed up on Saturday at this place that seems magical. Congratulations to Nicola who literally treated us with kid gloves. He seems born to do that job, the story he tells, not only does he tell it, but he puts all his passion into trying to explain and make people understand how those railways were used before. Even if you can follow the route on your own, I advise you to rely on him, because you will know well in every step what all the places such as the pine forest, the trees etc. were for. As for lunch, everything was excellent, from starters to dessert. Compliments to the kitchen because when we arrived at dessert we were full, in fact we unfortunately couldn't finish the second courses, even though we left room for the suckling pig, which was delicious. If I really have to find a negative side, although I assure you there aren't any, perhaps the rush to take away the dishes between one course and another, which, despite myself, is perhaps what filled us up immediately. I plan to return, it's a place that has remained in my heart, together with the kitten, I can't wait to visit you again!❤️

We booked with a group of friends (reservation recommended due to the number of places available and also because they are not open every day). The nature is spectacular and truly reflects the name of the enchanted forest. We chose to do the walk with the guide from the Niala farmhouse which offers the package with lunch included. But if you are young you can peacefully go there alone. They told us that it was an absolutely doable route for everyone, but if you are not trained there are some difficult points so it is really not recommended for those with physical problems of any kind. It was dramatic that some people had to stop halfway because they had not been correctly informed about the level of difficulty. The farmhouse was wonderful, with many windows in the middle of the woods and furnished in Sardinian style, outside there were animals such as donkeys and goats so it was also very suitable for children. However, what was very lacking was the fact that there was no cell phone service nor even the availability of a wi-fi service. Furthermore, the service at the tables was slow to the point that we sat down at 1pm and got up at 4pm, in addition to the fact that during the meal there was a musician with an accordion, very good, but he played so close to the tables that it became difficult hear your seat neighbor. The traditional Sardinian food was absolutely excellent and faultless. Definitely a highly recommended trip and we hope for some small improvements to the farm which would become perfect!

Abundant, genuine food, with typical products and prepared according to tradition. Impeccable service with staff at the bar and in the dining room ready to satisfy all requests. Top environment from the location to the restaurant. Already near it you wonder if you have ended up in paradise. In the packages we took "the excursion" (not at all tiring and which we will certainly repeat). The whole day enlivened by a good and friendly accordionist.
