I had the opportunity to have lunch at this restaurant on a Saturday. I have to say it was a truly memorable experience. The restaurant is located in an enchanting position, a stone's throw from the sea, with a relaxing and romantic atmosphere. The staff is extremely kind and professional, offering impeccable service. The menu is full of delicious options, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I tried almost all the starters together with my girlfriend: a riot of truly succulent flavors and the quality of the fish was excellent. As a first course we had a seafood carbonara and ravioli filled with purple potatoes with fish sauce, a culinary surprise in every bite, all accompanied by two glasses of white and rosé wine recommended by the house. We concluded lunch with a tiramisu and an almond paste tart filled with chocolate: the first (served inside a meringue), which personally didn't make me crazy, I would have simply added one as an accompaniment. The second course was served on a coulis of wild berries and was simply delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and with attention to the smallest details, with a Lecce stone ceiling that adds a touch of authenticity. It is the ideal place for a special dinner or to celebrate an important occasion, but also just to indulge in a quiet and elegant meal. In summary, the Underground Fish Restaurant is a great choice for those looking for an unforgettable dining experience. I can't wait to go back!

Castro is wonderful, both the town and the sea. This restaurant was a surprise. Very nice inside, with outdoor seating. We stayed on January 3rd. We only ate a seafood salad which was served as an appetizer with 1 glass of wine. A little expensive €25 out of season, but the location is worth it. I can't imagine the prices in season 😊

Very nice and welcoming place with star vaults made of tuff ashlars, in the summer it is also possible to eat outside on the roadside. The staff is very professional and courteous. We had appetizers and first courses, truly exceptional. We will definitely be back!

All good but expensive 3l for the dishes

I never tire of returning, for the goodness of the food, for the attentive and attentive service in every detail and also for the beautiful, relaxing and well-kept location. You leave the table satisfied with having eaten something truly special! Carlo's ability to pamper and make guests feel at ease is commendable. Well done.

Parmigiana di melanzana di mare, molto particolare assolutamente consigliata per provare. Frittura di paranza, nel complesso buona, la differenza sostanziale la fa ovviamente la disponibilità del pescato. Vino al calice molto buono e bottiglia aperta appositamente. Piatto con pescatrice riaddattato alle mie esigenze da vegetariana senza alcun problema.

Ristorante caratteristico e ottimo cibo. Abbiamo preso primi di pesce (carbonara di mare accostata a tonno fresco, ottimo abbinamento, e linguine ai frutti di mare) e frittura di pesce, tonno scottato e polpo. Piatti ottimi e quantità di pesce abbondanti, davvero ottima qualità. Non ho apprezzato molto una delle cameriere, sbrigativa e non ci ha saputo dare indicazioni sui vini. Per il resto ottimo!
