Taverna Azzurra was such a wonderful find! The staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere right on the water is absolutely perfect. Prices are very reasonable, food was delicious, and the spritzes hit the spot. We loved how the team remembered us each time we passed by, but never pressured us to stop—just genuine, friendly hospitality. A true gem in Marina Grande and one of our favorite meals in Sorrento!

I’m not sure why someone would give this place a 1-star review. I guess maybe they just don’t rate great food, lovely staff and an amazing location? This was an our last night out in Sorrento before we fly back to Australia, and we decided to just cruise past and check the menus at the restaurants at Marina Grande. Taverna Azzura ticked the boxes we were hoping for (anchovies, sardines, baby squid) and had some other amazing specials (mahi mahi, crab ravioli). Then there were the desserts. Oh my god - works of art! The staff were lovely and there was never any sense of being pressured to add a tip (which I did, because we really appreciated their effort). Prices are a little higher than you can find elsewhere, but it’s Marina Grande, so what do you expect? Ignore the flogs who thinks they’re Michelin star chefs and decide to give this restaurant bad reviews. Get along, enjoy a litre of the house white (which was really quite good), take the advice of the staff and enjoy your night.

Best pasta I've eaten in Italy.

Great pasta ravioli stuffed with crabs with shrimp sauce was sublime.

I didn't like the dish I ordered: pasta with just 1 shrimp and sauce. Nothing special, they didn't serve lemon Cielo. I saw the review but decided to give it a try and I agree with the 3 or 4 stars.

Best meal we had so far in Sorrento! Unlike the horrible TikTok recommendations in town, this restaurant knows what service and hospitality is. The staff was super friendly, recommended us great wine and amazing fish. The mahi mahi was outstanding and spaghetti with seafood too. There was live music, a free limoncello after dinner and an amazing location at the beach. Highly recommend going here!

What a beautiful spot! This restaurant is located right by the harbor in Sorrento, and the setting alone makes it a must-go if you’re in town. The food was very good – fresh, flavorful. The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel very welcome. On some evenings there’s live music, which makes the atmosphere even more special. We had such a lovely evening here and would definitely come back!

Sorry this is late!, but we are returning to the Admiral hotel next week and will be having a few meals at the Taverna. The food was absolutely fabulous, every meal was perfect. For us, eating at a brilliant taverna makes our holiday. Cannot wait to return.
