Leonardo is one of the hidden gems of Florence at it serves tasty food for really cheap price. Come try this simple and honest eatery to dine with locals, away from the overly embellished and pretentious restaurants of the city.

We visited in 2022, and while passing by, we stumbled upon this self-service restaurant. We had a wonderful, plentiful meal, and returned the next day. Great prices, a wide selection on the menu, and very polite and friendly staff. We'll be back in October 25th. Highly recommended.

The space is pleasant, with tables near the glass walls and plenty of natural light. The food was fantastic and the prices were super affordable. We had lasagna for €5 and a variety of desserts ranging from €1.50 to €4. They provide jugs of water, but there are also options for alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and more. The staff was very friendly, and despite being self-service, the tables are always cleaned.

En el mismo centro de Florencia, a pocos pasos del Duomo, se encuentra esta cantina de autoservicio barato con comida local de calidad. Cada vez que estoy en Florencia, sólo como aquí. No se trata solo de presupuesto, es un gran ahorro de tiempo cuando estás vagando sin cesar por las calles entre restaurantes turísticos caros - Leonardo te salvará. Atiende a la clase obrera local y la comida es auténtica, incluso se consiguen especialidades locales (incluyendo estómagos de vaca Lampredotto, pero eso es solo para los valientes : ) No importa el equipo anticuado con mesas de cartón yeso, ¡no encontrará un lugar mejor! Solo supera tus inseguridades y sube las escaleras al primer piso

Solo el lugar para algo de comida rápida en un autoservicio sin pretensiones. La calidad de la comida y la selección eran buenas y los precios bajos. Vino y cerveza disponibles. Pasta, pizza, bistec, ensaladas, postres.

24/11/2025: Recommended by friends, excellent quality products and divine food... I gorged myself on the truly delicious fried food... the Trapani-style octopus they offer is also excellent... highly recommended
19/11/2025: Sometimes you just get a hunch on a restaurant. You walk past and immediately stop because what’s happening inside is felt on the pavement. And without knowing anything about it, you have to go in and find out when they can squeeze you in. And you hope your hunch doesn’t disappoint….And it didn’t here. This is food with integrity and character. Like being welcomed into a family kitchen. Dad is chef, mum front of house and youngest son and his childhood friend wait the tables. It’s a small, bustling, ramshackle space offering rustic portions with no pretension. Football commentary drifted unobtrusively from the kitchen. They clearly love what they do and this is expressed in the food they serve (a changing daily menu of florentine classics that I struggled to choose between). I ended up going for Ossobuco Risotto and each rich & melting mouthful made me smile. Brilliant value, inclusive in spirit (they happily welcomed a single diner on a packed evening) and about as authentic as you can get. I came here twice in a week and would go back at the drop of a hat, next time in Firenze.
