A very authentic and down-to-earth place – just what we imagined a small Italian restaurant away from the tourist centers to be like! No glamour or frills, just delicious food and attentive, friendly service at, for Milan, sensational prices! We'd love to come back…

Pizzeria with a "7-" rating, regular pizzas, not "Neapolitan" ones if you're looking for a pizzeria close to home. The rustic/elegant atmosphere is complemented by a very attractive aquarium-like counter. On the downside: they didn't know what Norcia salami was, which I think is quite common on pizzas.

I've always gone there to eat the Diavola pizza. It's really good, the best pizza with spicy salami I've ever had. The waiters are very friendly.

La Balera dell'Ortica

09/11/2025: Had a great evening at La Balera del’Ortica during my businss travel! Atmosfere here is really lively, we danced all night and the music was amazing. Food is simple but tasty, especially the pasta and desserts, staff was friendly and helpful even with our big group. Loved how the place feels like old Milan, very authentic and fun for all ages. Price is ok for what you get, perfect if you want good vibes and new experience.
02/11/2025: Neomelodic singer-themed evening (I was here on a Thursday evening), I really like the atmosphere, friendly, easy-going, a place to hang out with lots of friends singing at the top of their lungs!

14/11/2025: Excellent food, excellent service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend it if you want to eat well with generous portions. I will definitely be back.
09/11/2025: I ate here because it was recommended to me. The location is very welcoming, the staff are friendly and always helpful. The dishes are very inviting and beautifully presented, the place is very clean, and the prices are reasonable. It's located in the Isola area, where there are many places to eat.
