I was rather unimpressed on arrival, as we were given a table adjacent to the toilet, despite having booked ahead & others being available. I guess the restaurant manager did not like how we looked! Despite this, the meal and service were excellent. I had snails, ravioli and octopus & my partner onion tart, pasta and rabbit. The food was all excellent, no high points or low points. The wine list was extensive and the restaurant was able to recommend a well matched wine for all courses. The amouse bouche were delicious and substantial, so we did not order dessert. I would highly recommend & hope to visit again, though I will probably sit outside next time!

We went to Baretto on Sunday evening. The food was excellent and the service absolutely perfect! And the host was incredibly generous: a welcome drink, amuse-bouche, and pre-dessert were all complimentary! What a fantastic restaurant!

What can I say? I was particularly amazed by the food and the service.
Pampered from start to finish with extras between courses.
The salted butter whipped with warm bread? These are the details that make the difference.
The pre- and post-dessert? With an unbelievably delicious tiramisu!

It's not a stuffy, formal place, but it has a nice, elegant feel. The food was good: the casoncelli were unforgettable, the tartare was good (not the best I've ever had), and the desserts were delicious. Recommended in winter, but highly recommended from spring to autumn because the view from the outdoor terrace is beautiful. The price is fair.

A beautiful view of all of Bergamo ♥️ The presentation of the dishes was very nice. The food was average. The tomato appetizer, served free of charge, was excellent. 💪 The butter served with the bread smelled of margarine. 🙈 Very good tuna and excellent beef. Even the carbonara was nice. The octopus, in its thicker pieces, was rubbery.

My daughter insisted so much on having dinner at Baretto that we finally made it.
We savored each course with serene ease. The atmosphere was vibrant and the service was truly top-notch. Everything was perfect and meticulously prepared. The wine was a delightful discovery, entirely Made in Bergamo.
