Ristorante Pizzeria San Vigilio In Bergamo

Beautiful place located in San Vigilio. I went a few days before Christmas and the atmosphere was wonderful, the trees outside had lights and inside the place is very well furnished. The service is friendly, attentive and kind, although I must say that the gentleman at the counter was almost rude; all the other waiters were really polite though, they took our jackets when we arrived. The menu is not extensive, but fair, with innovative dishes as well. Given the cost of the dishes, I expected smaller portions, but they turned out to be fair, if not abundant. Definitely a plus. They brought us many other things included in the price of the service which were appreciated. The only negative flaw: the water, on the menu it says "distilled water, €5 for every 2 people", there were 3 of us and they brought only one jug at the beginning, we asked for another and in the end they gave us charged €10 for water which seems excessive to me. I didn't quite understand this, otherwise really highly recommended. There is also a shuttle service to get to the restaurant (use it and don't arrive by car, I really recommend it)

Restaurant with a very pleasant terrace that allows you to enjoy incredible views of the upper and lower city of Bergamo. The staff was great with very friendly, pleasant and attentive service. The food with very tasty dishes and good quantity. It is well worth going up there to enjoy the views and eat.

Baretto San Virgilio never disappoints; excellent and attentive service, never intrusive. Excellent dishes, both sea and land, well presented and with an extra touch. The starters are delicious: creamed potatoes with prawns and Alaskan salmon. Special mention goes to the risotto with porcini mushrooms, taleggio cheese and fermented blueberries, as well as to the carbonara with prawns. We moved straight to dessert, then: apple pie with ice cream and custard. I'm not discussing the cover charge, because I already knew it, having been there several times, and I think it's justified by the quality of the products they serve. Last gem: they have a shuttle service on the busiest days. I would like to thank all the staff for their attention and kindness, as I was celebrating my son's birthday and we spent a very pleasant evening. Until next time!

Excellent meal with a splendid view of the Bergamo valley. The menu offers both meat and fish dishes: the starter based on mashed potatoes and prawns is excellent, the monkfish chosen as a second course is superb. Each dish is refined and combines tastes and flavors that are unusual at first glance. The staff is very friendly, the service is fast. The only flaw: the cover charge costs €7 per person (even though it also consists of a cracker and a welcome drink, a pre-appetizer and plenty of bread with butter) and the water - half a liter of filtered water - €5; This is what makes the restaurant not able to get a full rating for me!

Ho avuto il piacere di tornare in questo ristorante a Bergamo Alta per la seconda volta, ed entrambe le esperienze si sono rivelate esperienze indimenticabili. La prima volta ho cenato con alcuni amici di Milano in visita a Bergamo per la prima volta, mentre in questa ultima occasione ho piacevolmente pranzato in compagnia di mia madre. Il cibo, in entrambe le occasioni, è stato davvero sublime: ricco di tradizione ma allo stesso tempo rivisitato in chiave moderna ed elegante. Ogni piatto racconta una storia di sapori autentici, preparati con ingredienti di alta qualità. In questa seconda visita, siamo stati serviti da un personale giovane e cordiale, tra cui Rostick (spero di non aver commesso errori nella trascrizione) e Luca, che hanno contribuito a rendere il nostro pranzo ancora più piacevole. La vista dalla terrazza è estremamente bella e aggiunge un tocco magico all'intera esperienza. Non ho dubbi che tornerò presto per un'altra esperienza deliziosa! :) Consiglio!

Locale accogliente, pulito, tavoli e sedute comodi, servizio celere, addetti alla sala cortesi e simpatici, mise en place essenziale ma di stoffa, cambio posate ad ogni portata. Antipasto molto buono, pancetta forse troppo fresca. Casoncelli fatti in casa ottimi, altrettanto gli gnocchi artigianali. Dolci pure artigianali ma un tantino sotto di qualità: cheescake con punta di acidità troppo prominente, tiramisù troppo bagnato con il savoiardo che ha perso completamente di consistenza. Prezzi nella norma, forse per le bibite un po' troppo eccessivi. Se state in zona, fermatevi.
