Ristorante Pizzeria AL RUGANTINO In Udine

Amazing food, combined with excellent service... just what you'd want! This was one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten.

The restaurant itself offers fairly good food, and the pizza is also decent. The real problem is the service, which is unclear, inattentive, and at times exhausting. The service risks ruining the entire experience, which would otherwise have been positive because the food is good. Indeed, some courses arrived much later, or the main courses arrived separately, or a side dish arrived later than the main course ordered. These are a series of oversights that ruin the evening.

Il Rugantino is a typical Udine restaurant with very good food, the quality is truly high. However, it must be said that the service leaves a bit to be desired; the staff is friendly, but mistakes are often made, and this could definitely ruin the evening. Overall, however, the place is nice and deserves a passing grade.

The restaurant we wanted to visit was closed so we were wandering on the streets when we found Al Rugantino. Obviously we did not have a reservation but the head waiter wrote our number down and called us up when a table got free which was a really cool and respectable thing to do. We appreciated it. Once seated we had to wait a lot for the dishes to come. That was really unpleasant after 30-40 minutes. The food was OK, not bad but not great either. The pizza dough tasted bitter on 2 out of the 3 pizzas that we ordered (I assume the semolina got toasted a bit more than optimal although it was not burned). The frutti di mare spaghetti dish was tasty. The interior of the restaurant has been designed thoughtfully but the atmosphere was not as good.

Molta scelta nel menù. Antipasti di pesce ottimi. Fritto di pesce non unto, leggero, croccante, abbondante e buonissimo. Servizio cordiale e molto attento.

Ristorante carino, pulito, molto confortevole. Pranzo buono ma ho trovato molto costosa un bicchierino di grappa 6 euro!!!!! Il coperto anche 2,50 euro a persona
