I stopped by with my son by chance after we'd been to see the pass after a nice snowfall. Excellent cured meats and meat.

Emblematic restaurant with a lot of history! Full of motorcyclists, cyclists, hikers... we made a reservation. Parking is complicated with so many people. The generous portions, fried chicken with potatoes and grilled meat stand out! For starters, you have to try the potatoes with pomodoro, a house recipe.

Rustic location. But it's okay, we're on a mountain pass.
After a motorcycle ride, we decided to have dinner there given this place's reputation. (There were four of us.)
The tartare looked a little small, but it was good.
The spaghetti arrived in a decent portion, but the ragù had been drizzled on top and not even stirred, and the sauce was too small for the amount of pasta.
The other first courses, like pappa al pomodoro and ribollita, were delicious.
For our second course, we decided to try the local specialty, fried chicken with potatoes. It was good, but it's fried chicken, nothing exciting.
We had asked for a chicken to share between two, but once it arrived, it seemed a bit too large, but we went ahead. As expected, 2 chickens had been added to the bill. We tried to explain that the order hadn't been exactly that. They tried to "twist the situation a bit," but the damage was done. They gave us a slight discount, but I still paid more than 40 euros for a ribollita soup, fried chicken, house wine, and a coffee, which I thought was a bit expensive.

Seconda volta a pranzo in questo ristorante, se della prima ho ottimi ricordi, oggi si sono superati... antipasti ottimi servizio celere simpatia e professionalità e poi lei sua maestà "La Fiorentina" veramente sublime... Fatti 400km, ma ne vale veramente la pena, complimenti davvero

Cominciamo dal personale del Ristorante come sempre gentilissimo e disponibile! Poi i piatti che sono una “certezza” con l’immancabile Fiorentina e alcune prelibetazze locali come le patate del Mugello fritte (alla faccia di quelle di McDonald…) ed il Pollo fritto.
Il tutto gustato in un locale storico che traspira emozioni legate alla Mille Miglia ed alle tradizioni di oltre cento anni.
Dopo una mangiata indimenticabile, il tempo scorre ancora più indietro e passiamo ad oltre 2.200 anni fà…infatti a 500 metri inizia una parte della via degli Dei da cui (dopo circa 2 km di cui un piccolo tratto un pó impegnativo) camminando in un bosco bellissimo, composto prevalentemente da Betulle, si raggiunge un tratto della Flaminia Militare, strada storica Romana del 187 AC.
Per concludere al ritorno, due passi al tramonto nel suggestivo Cimitero di Guerra dei tedeschi.
Per il sentiero lungo la via degli Dei ovviamente il periodo migliore è da maggio in poi.
Mentre per il meraviglioso Ristorante della Futa ed il Cimitero Tedesco vanno benissimo (anzi forse meglio) i periodi invernali.
