I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant on the way from Firenze to Bologna and we found this beautiful place in the middle of the mountains. Unfortunately, lunch was no longer available, but we enjoyed a traditional local Panino de Formaggio. Not to mention the people who served us, friendly and helpful.

If I had to describe in one word the experience of stopping at the "Passo della Futa" restaurant, only one would be enough. "Heat". Warmth because the welcome from Claudio (chef and manager), his wife and all the staff is genuinely warm and genuine. You immediately feel part of a family. Warmth because even the structure that has been there since 1890 like the kitchen (let me tell you a long family history) welcomes you with a warm fireplace. The family photos... The historic cars... historical memorabilia on the walls, the black and white that combines with the warm and welcoming colors of the structure make it unique. The Futa pass is well known not only to motorcyclists, one of the most beautiful roads in Italy, harmonious landscapes in spring and if you pass there in winter there is almost never any snow. To stop and enter that restaurant is to feel welcomed and protected, a safe place where, among other things, you can eat well, very well, with an excellent quality/price ratio. Tuscan-Emilian cuisine, traditional dishes, excellent first courses and very tender red meats. Tasting the unique recipe fried chicken is a wonderful gastronomic experience. By motorbike or car it is worth crossing the Apennines between Bologna and Florence to be amazed by the beauty of those unique places in the world plus you know where to stop and be pampered by the flavors and history full of heat

The food is good but nothing special, as is the "renowned" fried chicken, with thick breading that separates from the meat. The polite service. Overall sufficient but I wouldn't go back.

Little time available, even now to write a comment. So little time to eat. Well spent. Excellent first course, in service. The usual environment of the Futa pass and a great desire to return. By the way, the appetizer crostini, truly from another era. It's good that this place has reopened. A shame when I find it closed. Beautiful surroundings to visit. Go there!

You more than deserve the stars... what can I say... that the place is preserved as it is and... a dive into the past in an environment that has remained intact in a time capsule, among simple dishes resulting from good and tasty traditional cuisine and lots of it. ..I underline the kindness of the staff. May the god of restaurants preserve it for us as it is.

Domenica estiva alla ricerca del fresco, pranzo sull'appennino tosco-romagnolo, ristorante storico tipico toscano direttamente sulla strada preferita dai motociclisti. Ottimo cibo, servizio veloce, prezzi nella norma.

Oggi a pranzo con amici dotò tanto tempo nulla è cambiato personale gentilissimo, menù classico toscano, pasta tirata a mano e polpettone alla griglia ottimo, sapori di altri tempi prezzo ottimo, penso che lascerò passare meno tempo
