Excellent food and service. Compliments to the Chef August 29, 2025, we returned to Lo Stravagante Restaurant. What a deliciousness! 😋 Eggplant flan and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. SUPER. Excellent price. Highly recommended.

There weren't many people there, so I was able to enjoy a leisurely and delicious meal. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the owner only spoke Italian.

If you're coming to Italy and want to eat something authentic but think there aren't any more places like this in such touristy areas, you're wrong. At least one remains—and it's truly breathtaking. The owner is both waiter and chef, incredibly kind, hospitable, talented, and attentive. It's worth traveling halfway across Florence to this place, or even driving from another country. Seriously, I went to Italy for this experience. Delicious and unique. I'll remember it for a long time.

I'm not usually given to writing reviews, but this time I can't help but be honest. SPECIAL!!! Like all special things, you have to seek them out, and this trattoria deserves it. We ate very well; the menu was small but varied, refined, and personalized. Excellent ingredients. Excellent wines and a good selection. Very intimate atmosphere. We were welcomed by Mr. Carmine, who with great simplicity and kindness sat us at the table (we were the only table, four people). We thought he was the waiter, but we realized he was also the chef (he does everything). He looked after us and advised us with great kindness and discretion. It's often worth getting off the beaten track to discover something special like "Lo Stravagante."

Such a fantastic local restaurant in Florence. Away from the busy tourist crowds, come here for great food, wine, and friendly staff. Absolutely recomenmd.

Hey you people staying in the Centro storico, take a taxi or walk to Lo Stravagante. Amazing hospitality and food. Carmine insisted we try the crème brulé and it was the best I ever had. Then he poured us a glass of his homemade limoncello and again, best I ever tasted by a mile! Amazing food, wine, atmosphere and conversation. I will find a way to come back to Lo Stravagante !!
