Wonderful dinner experience with tasting menu! We went for date night and had the bigger tasting menu and loved every course. Staff was friendly and helpful, food was creative and delicious and drinks were great too. Highly recommend.
I was hesitant going here because of a bunch of negative reviews, but we enjoyed every aspect of the meal and experience and could hear lots of positive feedback from the other guests. The dining rooms is very small and intimate and has a great view of the sea!
I think the negative reviews are mostly coming from people that just like to complain when given the forum. If you go in with a positive attitude, you are going to have a great time!

Impeccable restaurant.
I really liked the atmosphere, with a sophisticated and modern style.
When we arrived, we were directed to the rooftop at the hotel bar to wait for our reservation time - it's worth arriving early and staying on the rooftop, as it is one of the most beautiful views of Positano.
Very good wine list.
There was a sommelier just for olive oils.
I had a classic parmigiana, delicious.
Very small dishes, but the house offers complimentary starters and desserts, so we don't go hungry.
Special highlight for Genaro, who was very attentive and took care of our table.

Simply sensational. Starting with the environment, which is truly magnificent with unique decor and a unique view of Positano. The restaurant is located in one of the city's most renowned hotels at the top of Positano. The food is spectacular, starting with the special starters and the selection of olive oils with a sommelier to explain each option. The wines are great and the main dishes are unparalleled. The service from the entire team and Genaro was exceptional.

Li Galli was our first Michelin in Italy. First and foremost, there are only 12 seats, it is very formal dining. The atmosphere was also not very pleasant; we felt as if we were being watched like hawks and could not speak/converse normally and the music was very quiet. The food was good and served in Michelin style—it didn’t blow us away, but our server (Pedro) was amazing. This was the most expensive dinner we’ve had. We were very underwhelmed and did not appreciate how tense it seemed. There are plenty of other great restaurants to eat at in Positano, and I wouldn’t recommend Li Galli unless you’re into very high-end fine dining.

We’ve eaten at some great restaurants but this one is the best we’ve ever experienced. It’s only a matter of time before it gets its second and third stars. The imagination of the chef and the execution of the dishes were exquisite, the service was impeccable, and everything was memorable and delicious. What really blew our minds and separated them from all other dining experiences is that they researched some things about us and created whimsical moments that were personal to us. For instance, one of the dishes was a prawn carpaccio and they included their take on a barbecue sauce because the chef knew we were from Texas. If you go, you should get the seven-course tasting because it was ends with “The Picnic.” Everything in the basket was clever and fun and, again, one of the dishes was created based on the fact that they somehow knew we enjoy mezcal margaritas. Instead of feeling stuffy like some great restaurants, the whole evening was fun and felt like the highest expression of food and service. We will remember the dinner forever! The view is even better than it looks in the pictures. I cannot recommend Li Galli highly enough and my wife and I will eat there any time we are in or near Positano! Grazie mille to Chef Perna and the whole team!

An upscale restaurant in the luxurious Hotel Villa Franca, with gorgeous views of the sea and hills on the other side of Positano. The seafood - blue lobster gnocchi, the miso/pepper mint turbot, and the smoked yogurt monkfish - was impressive in taste and presentation, with simple touches of seasoning to enhance the flavor of freshness.
The portion sizes could be more generous as main courses aside from the high prices. The chocolate cake was too delicious, while the wines were delightful on their own. The service was efficient but too formal and aloof to be personable.
The wine cellar has an outstanding collection of Petrus and Lafite Rothschild and is worth a tour on request. To celebrate any special occasion in Positano, there is no better place. Request one of two tables in front with 180-degree views of the sea and twinkling lights at night.
A one-star Michelin restaurant.
