Went here for our Thanksgiving lunch after first visiting the Rocca di Dozza (castle). It is off season and did not appear to be crowded but they asked if we had a reservation and sure enough the place filled up quickly. The staff was each uniformly courteous and helpful and friendly. The spacing of the tables, table cloths, napkins, bathroom facilities etc. are all first rate for this region. We had an excellent lunch of an antipasti artichoke salad and two interesting primis (one pasta, one polenta) and two glasses of wine for a very reasonable price compared to similar meals in the Bologna region. This was very authentic and memorable. Of course the setting alone - sitting on the closed in patio right in front of the castle is without compare. We felt very lucky that the place we just picked due to location turned out to be so good.

Per una gita di qualche ora visitando questo bellissimo borgo, ci fermiamo qui a mangiare con un amico. Prendiamo un piatto di garganelli alla boscaiola, un piatto di crescentine con salumi e un piatto di fritti misti. Devo dire che tutto il cibo è stato buono, personale molto cordiale e servizio anche veloce, posto rustico in pieno centro e prezzi nella media quindi approvato

Wonderful restaurant in a beautiful place. We were there on a very hot day and ate inside. The service was smooth, friendly and the Ravenna Bianco was a nice fresh and fruity glass of white wine. The tortelli with potato was delicious, as was the tagliata. Highly recommended in terms of food and service, the atmosphere is also pleasant.

An environment expertly renovated in the sense that it retains its stable side. Attentive, fast, kind, friendly staff… perfect. Tasty food and right quantities. I had a starter of freshly cut cold cuts, non-greasy and good tigelle, followed by a trio of first courses, excellent ragù and a smashing porcini sauce. I don't understand that eighties legacy of the salad basket... But oh well, they are details! I tried to eat it but it was hard and I gave up. Then we moved on to dessert… I recommend these grilled peaches with ice cream. Mmmm how delicious!!!

Good first courses and appetizers, second courses and side dishes a little disappointing, service in the norm, perhaps a little more relaxed would not hurt, the only flaw, but this is not the fault of the place, being the occasion for the mother's 80th birthday, the location is a a little uncomfortable as it is right under the fortress and the climb is not exactly easy. Maybe it can serve as information.
