The atmosphere was welcoming and well-kept. We were served immediately. The food was delicious, and the girl who served us was always there and smiling. I will definitely recommend it.

La Rocca Gourmet is a charming little restaurant in Lucignano, with a very pleasant atmosphere. It's a family-run restaurant with background music, sometimes even live music. The food is excellent and you can taste the quality. The only downside is that we spent €12 for three people for the service, a bit expensive, but I recommend it if you want to enjoy some quality time with excellent food in a welcoming atmosphere. Plus, in the summer you can eat on a terrace with a view. The owners are very nice and welcoming. I recommend it.

An excellent refreshment stop, in a very refined and attractive setting. The cuisine was pleasant and well-presented. The service was attentive and very friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The price was reasonable, considering that one of us ordered a lovely Chianina fillet, which was cooked exactly as requested.

My first time in Lucignano and this is a gem of a restaurant! Had lunch here today and it wasn't busy at all because of the winter season - had the pici pasta with Chiannina ragù and Tiramisù, and they were both perfect. The owner even came out after the meal to ask if everything was ok, such a friendly person! Also great service and friendliness from the staff. I would absolutely come back - go here when in Lucignano!

05/04/2026: For lunch, I ordered a Florentine steak, which I personally found delicious! It literally melted in my mouth, and had a delicate flavor. It was more of an experience than a meal. The vegetables and cheeses as an appetizer were also very good and had refined flavors. I highly recommend it!
17/03/2026: Excellence in every detail. Domenico was simply incredible in the dining room, knowledgeable and very attentive. The chef is a guarantee. One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at.

Relais La Corte dei Papi

08/05/2026: We just returned from a 3 week honeymoon in Italy which required a LOT of planning. I normally am not one to leave a review, but we relied so heavily on them to plan our trip so I wanted to share my experience to hopefully help someone else out. :) This was the third stop of our trip. And if I had to describe this hotel, I'd say it's like a luxury bed and breakfast in the rolling hills of Tuscany. The property is gorgeous and the staff was very accommodating. However, be aware, this hotel is not walking distance to really anything so you will either need a car or will need to hire a taxi or a driver to get anywhere. We ended up paying over $75 in 1 day just to get to and from the town of Cortona which is about a 10 min car ride away. Also, when we were there in April, I think we were 2 of maybe 6 guests on property. It felt almost eerily quiet. This is definitely not a hotel that you would come to for the fun atmosphere. Its more of a relaxing, luxury, and romantic get away. The staff does a nice job to help coordinate any plans / logistics that are needed. And I would highly recommend making plans for each day that you are there. We really enjoyed the wine tour that they coordinated for us. I do want to give a special shoutout to the food because the breakfast and dinner that we had were always fantastic! However, be mindful that that their kitchen is closed on Monday nights and so are many of the local restaurants. We found ourselves in a bit of a predicament after our wine tour, so we had to have our driver bring us to a grocery store to get some food. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Just do your homework before hand so that your stay can be as enjoyable as possible!
13/01/2026: This place was so serene and quiet this time of year (late December). The staff was attentive and accommodating and the food... so good! Worth staying here for couples. I would say it's romantic. But, we also saw a couple of young families. You will be spoiled if you stay here. We will never get a better breakfast spread anywhere. They set the bar high!
