It is worth making an effort to try this restaurant. Looks like a seafood restaurant but they also have plenty of non-fish options. If you like fish however you should try the Sicilian speciality Pasta Alla Palermitana. Its really very good and not like anything I had before. Spaghetti with sardines, wild fennel, pine nuts, toasted breadcrumbs and raisins. Alla Norma is also excellent. If you want a real blow-out then you can fresh lobster and even Crayfish (but it was €180/kg!!). Atlantic lobster was reasonable at €35 each. Deserts were excellent.

Good pizza and nice coffee. However, I did not like the Pizza Napoli (the one with Anchovies), it was too salty for my taste. Otherwise a great experience.

23/08/2024: Trattoria in an alley overlooking an archaeological site, a suggestive place in the center of Taormina, also secluded from the main promenade. They welcomed us quickly and kindly. The menu is varied and full of typical Sicilian dishes: however, as non-Sicilians, the dinner was not satisfactory. The caponata appetizer was tasty, but not the best I've had in Sicily. The first course, pasta with sardines, was well prepared and probably the best course. For the second course, beccafico sardines, not boned, poor in flavor and quantity. At the end of the evening, a bill that reflects neither quantity nor quality, but only the price list of a place in the center of Taormina. I wouldn't recommend it.
