Beautiful restaurant near the San Biagio Temple. Very professional service and ambience is serene. Food is excellent fine dining level. Wine list is extensive and the waitlist knowledgeable. Overall a very enjoyable experience. The same level of food, service and ambience will be easily 3-4 times the price in the US. Highly recommended.

Perfect restaurant, very convenient parking, outside the restaurant you can admire all the beauty of the Valdichiana with a spectacular view ... We dined in the garden of the restaurant very soft, clean, well cared for in every detail ... The dishes were truly something exceptional well made with unique flavors .. Excellent wines .. Supreme desserts to lick your lips ... Very friendly and super prepared staff .. Everything perfect .. Highly recommended .. we will definitely return ..

The owner of the property we are staying recommended La Grotta and I'm glad she did.
Every course was excellent from the asparagus flan, guinea fowl ravioli, pork wellington and then finishing with the strawberry pavlova.
Wine choices are good too, although we only had a glass and a negroni.
Service was excellent throughout. We booked and you probably need to as season moves on. You won't be disappointed.

We just finished a fabulous experience at La Grotta. March is definitely slow season here but we have never been more welcomed or felt more "tended to" than our dinner at La Grotta. The dinner started with a nice pour of complimentary Prosecco and a small bite, followed of course by locally made bread and olive oil. My wife and I shared the stuffed artichoke and then the guinea fowl-filled ravioli to start the meal. For secondi, I had the lamb and my wife had the duck. All dishes were exemplary! I disagree with reviewers who comment that portion sizes are too small. True, they are not large, but all were beautifully presented and just right for our tastes. We will return on our next visit to Montepulciano!
