Located atop a hill, it's beautifully lit and impressive at night. The outdoor area is beautiful, well-maintained and beautifully decorated. The restaurant has been modernized and updated in terms of design, lighting, and furnishings. It's nice to send a message after booking. The staff is friendly and hospitable.
The dishes are carefully prepared, with a focus on flavors and design. The accompanying dishes are also excellent, a truly refined cuisine with sublime flavors.
The wine list is extensive and offers a noteworthy selection.

Vorweg: Ein Abendessen lohnt sich im Vigneto di Roddi. Vor allem bei schönem Wetter ist der Sonnenuntergang oder der Blick über die Weinberge hin nach Roddi schon fast unbezahlbar. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, die Weinkarte repräsentiert die Vielfältigkeit der Region - auch preislich. Schön fand ich, dass es bei den Barolos drei kleine Flaschen zur Auswahl gab (37.5 cl). Als Einzelreisender ist eine grosse Flasche halt zu viel, auch wenn man vor Ort geschlafen hat. Der eine Punkt Abzug? Nun, das Voressen (Tartar) und der Nachtisch (Zabaione) waren excellent, das Primo (al Ragu) war gut, aber das Secondo konnte mich nicht überzeugen. Die Fleischqualität war hervorragend, aber diese Mischung mit Chips und rohem Ei und Käsesosse? In diesem Gemengelage werden die Chips schneller zu Matsch, als man sie essen kann. Die Essenz, die Idee, was dieses wunderbare Stück Fleisch verkörpern soll, die hat sich mir überhaupt nicht erschlossen. Weniger wäre da sicherlich mehr, denn an der Qualität des Fleisches und dessen Zubereitung lag es nicht.

Ho festeggiato il mio compleanno qui al vigneto di Roddi, posto bellissimo, il cibo è buonissimo e anche ben presentato, la cantina fornitissima è lo staff è molto preparato ed efficiente ma non invadente, consigliatissimo!!! Molto buono anche il gin tonic post pranzo!!

A weekend of pure beauty and haute cuisine in the heart of the Langhe
We spent a weekend at Il Vigneto in Roddi, during a trip to discover the wonders of the Langhe, and I can say without hesitation that it was an unforgettable experience.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a breathtaking landscape, immersed in the quiet and authentic beauty of these hills, where calm and peace reign, now rare to find. We chose a suite for our stay and the level of hospitality was equal - if not superior - to many renowned 5-star hotels.
Nothing is left to chance: the room is spacious, furnished with impeccable taste and equipped with a hydromassage tub for two people, a large and luxurious bathroom, and a King Size bed with extraordinary comfort. An environment designed for relaxation, with attention to the smallest details. I really wished time would stop.
The restaurant, then, was a real revelation. The service is on par with the best gastronomic restaurants: courteous, knowledgeable and attentive dining room staff, impeccable cutlery changes, refills of bread, artisanal breadsticks and focaccias that are always fresh. Every detail is an expression of sober elegance, never forced, and above all of an authentic passion for the territory and the cuisine.
The menu is balanced and original, with proposals that combine respect for tradition with innovative and never banal research. I speak as a chef: here you can perceive a profound knowledge of the ingredients and an almost reverential respect for every single product.
We tasted:
• Whipped egg with truffle and Parmesan cream: an elegant and intense dish, balanced to perfection.
• Ravioli del plin with cocoa and gorgonzola: surprising, harmonious, with a bitter-sweet note that goes perfectly with the strength of the cheese.
• Veal cheek: masterfully cooked, with a deep and complex flavour, capable of describing the territory with style and refinement.
The wine list is well structured, broad and representative of the extraordinary oenological richness of the area, with proposals for all palates and levels of curiosity.
In summary, Il Vigneto is a place where hospitality meets gastronomic excellence in a natural context of rare beauty. An address that I recommend without hesitation to those seeking the best of the Langhe, with the soul of those who know how to welcome and the mind of those who want to excite.

We are 2 families for lunch, the place is very beautiful and the view is spectacular. The service was good, I won't say excellent because there were some gaps: putting a bottle of still water and a sparkling water on the table for 8 people is a bit small, and when they run out you need to change them immediately, just as serving the starter without a saucer on which to place it seems a bit like that to me. Good appetizers, good first courses with some details to review (if you write octopus tentacle on the menu I want to see it whole, not 3 small pieces, just like in the seafood stew 2/3 small pieces of fish didn't go amiss), second courses snails ok, sirloin with incorrect medium cooking (brought overcooked). Desserts, good sorbets (it must be their specialty) the rest is reviewable: if you write me tarte tatin on paper I expect it with caramel on top and to taste the butter, if you bring me a pastry with cooked apples on top and apart from a basket of hard caramel with ice cream inside it's another dessert.

Restaurant with a view that is nothing short of exceptional! Maybe we were lucky with the weather and found a wonderful sunny week! But the location alone is worth having dinner there...then the cuisine was also truly up to the panorama and our expectations...we will definitely be back
