The food was good, but what remains in my memories of this place was the intrusiveness of the waitress who never missed an opportunity to approach the table and thus disturb Too many smiles...well!

We were here for lunch, the restaurant filled up very quickly and there was a good reason for that. We had very tasty seafood dinner and a bottle of sparkling wine. Price is reasonable, service is very attentive.

We had an excellent lunch at Il Sasso. We had just arrived in Siena, and were desperate for something to eat. We saw the restaurant and immediately liked the atmosphere, and asked if we could have a table. It was approaching 3pm when the kitchen closes until evening. There was no fuss, and we ordered our meals. My wife had a wonderful Linguine Pesto Pistacchi pasta dish which she declared one of the best Pasta dishes she had eaten, and I had the Risotto Grana E Zucchine, which was superb. Easily the best Risotto dish I had ever had! Creamy, tasty, and substantial and washed down with a local artisan beer. A perfect start to our few days in Siena. We returned for dinner a few days later, and again we both couldn't fault our meals. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant, located in a small side street, there is always shade at lunchtime and therefore quite cool.

Nice place, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Excellent choice of wines and comfortable environment. The gnocchi with shellfish, however, should have been called "gnocchi with shellfish heads" as only the heads of prawns and prawns and the last terminal part of the tail, called telson, which is not very pulpy and tasty, were present in the sauce. Good sauce but very little real fish. The very dry frying, the shellfish inside the batter dry and dehydrated, absolutely does not achieve sufficiency. I also don't find it a good idea to include clams in the frying, they are obviously inedible. The price is too high for the meal consumed, it is around €70 per person for a first course each, a second course each, a bottle of wine for 4. Furthermore, we are not on the sea, this price does not fit. I could point out dozens of restaurants where you can eat significantly better for half the price.

The food is very good, the pizzas cheap and delicious. On the other hand, the service leaves something to be desired. The manager yelled at us as soon as we arrived in the restaurant and one of the waiters was very rude.
