I regret discovering it only a few years ago, even though this management has been in place since 1998.
In my opinion, it's the best Chinese restaurant (not fusion) in Bologna and the surrounding area.
The dishes are plentiful, with a wide selection, all worth trying, and cooked without leaving any odors in the room.
The recently renovated restaurant isn't large, but this also reflects the friendly atmosphere created by Valentina and the entire wait staff.
Furthermore, the prices are also reasonable.
So, what can I say: try it and believe it.

A truly charming and clean place; the staff is very busy but friendly; the food is good, but it doesn't make a difference: the spring rolls are only made with cabbage; the grilled shrimp were undercooked and tasted like they were boiled; quite expensive. Perhaps they have other specialties, so I'll go back to see if I'm wrong.

The best Chinese restaurant in the area. I've been coming here for years and the quality is always excellent!
They recently renovated the place and did an exceptional job. Kudos to the whole family, who have always been so kind and welcoming. It's a truly wonderful place to stay. 🙏🏻
The meat and shrimp ravioli are amazing, homemade, and always fresh. Superb!

Mandarino is an institution in Bologna; unlike many other Chinese restaurants, they've been around forever. The menu is classic Chinese, adapted a bit to Western tastes (I've been to China and other Chinese restaurants where their authentic cuisine is completely different), but they still offer excellent quality and impeccable service. I highly recommend the Thai chicken (they also have a few Thai dishes) and the crispy duck. The peanut chicken is also excellent.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever had. I'm having a hard time recommending anything because it's worth trying everything.
Generous portions (the first and second courses are filling) and very affordable prices. We had an appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert, along with water, beers, and grappa for €31 each.
Impeccable service. The recently renovated restaurant is also beautiful (not as bare as in some photos).
The bathroom is nice.
It's best to book because it's not very big.
