Ristorante Il Covo In Montepulciano

Wonderful restaurant find a few blocks out of the main part of Montepulciano. You can drive and park there. We actually went back a second day for the soup, it was so delicious. Everything we had was very good. The wife chef and her husband were charming. Nice terrace overlooking The town.

We came upon this fabulous restaurant by chance. I would like to start with the fact that the owner and server was outstanding with his recommendations. He was spot on with everything from wine selection to dessert. I am a tiramisu connoisseur and will tell you if you like tiramisu like I do, you must give it a try. The food is wonderful and the Menu changes periodically.

Extremely courteous and quality food with fair portions

We came across this restaurant by chance. I am so glad I stopped the car. The atmosphere, the service, and most of all the food was so delicious. I had the spaghetti with clams, shrimp and asparagus, with a side of mixed greens - wonderful! The atmosphere is that of a very nice upscale restaurant. It was perfect for an romantic evening meal with my wife I would highly recommend eating here.

Stayed in this area for 5 days and came here for the second time. I drank the best nobile red wine here. The vinegar and olive oil are of good quality. Although the meal bag is not amazing, it is very fragrant, soft and crispy, and delicious. To be honest, this restaurant is far better than many 4.7-rated restaurants in the ancient town. The Nobile Farm Restaurant a few minutes away is comparable to this place in terms of taste. The ambience and service were a little off, but I care more about the quality of the food and drinks. I don’t know why this restaurant has a lower rating, but I really recommend it! If an Italian restaurant is bad at meal kits, vinegar, olive oil and red wine, then basically there’s no need to expect much else, right?

Incredible atmosphere. The place is so well decorated with a great selection of wines of all prices. The owner is very friendly and welcoming even ti tourists. Lots of locals dining too. Food was priced very fairly and of some of the best quality in the area. Would recommend 100%. Easy parking.

In the heart of Montepulciano, an excellence of Tuscan cuisine. The gnocchi with nana ragù are extraordinary, the pici with Tuscan ragù impeccable. The cheek, very tender, is a dish not to be missed. Attentive service, refined atmosphere. Absolutely recommended.

The food is of good quality and the place looks very good, however at dinner the atmosphere is cold to say the least! And I'm talking about the temperature... the stage falls... It took me the whole evening at the hotel to warm up....
