We arrived here somewhat unexpectedly thanks to one of their employees, and the extremely kind staff welcomed us just before closing time.
We had pappa al pomodoro, pici cacio e pepe, tagliatelle with ragù of the day, and peposo.
All the food was delicious, the peposo was truly special.
Definitely a place to return to.

A charming and welcoming restaurant with a classic Tuscan style.
Special cuisine, with quality ingredients and excellent meat cooking. The mixed pork is a must-try. I really enjoyed the bread and pasta made with mixed/whole wheat flours, both qualitatively and nutritionally superior, a sign of careful study and research.
The pizza was also good...wood-fired.
All in all, a great food experience.
Prices are average for a restaurant in the villages.

A very cute place with a well-kept interior and a few tables outside. The service is friendly and attentive. The menu is excellent and the portions generous. I also recommend it for the artisanal cantucci.

Run by the father, chef Paolo, and his son, Valerio, a pizza chef, with top-notch pizzas, especially delicious ones, especially with the excellent quality dough, as you feel even better after eating it! As for the restaurant, I opted for the homemade picci, a local specialty that I wasn't familiar with. We had picci cacio e pepe and aglione... Fabulous! As for the second course, the ghanciale with mashed potatoes is worth the whole trip to this fantastic town in the Val d'Orcia! Go back for sure! Congrats 5 stars for sure!

Thanks to Chef Paolo for letting us taste some masterpieces! Delicious, carefully prepared dishes, combining tradition with innovation, using only the highest-quality ingredients selected locally. See you soon to try other dishes... I recommend the veal cheek and cappellacci...for now!

After a period under different management, Chef Paolo is back in the kitchen and at the helm of Bottega del Chiú. The Michelin-starred dishes, featuring quality ingredients and a true expression of the local area, are back. It's impossible to resist the temptations of the menu, but above all, the Chef's detailed explanations, a clear sign that everything in the kitchen is truly his work. The cappellacci are fantastic (the chocolate shavings are the special touch), the veal cheek on mashed potatoes is unmissable, then the special Tuscan crostini and the pallotte (a cheese and egg dish originating from Abruzzo), and finally dessert, a warm chocolate tart, perched on coffee cream. The wine list is truly top-notch. Bravo Chef...welcome back, many of you were waiting for! Bottega del Chiú has been reborn.

Three friends, highly recommended. The food was excellent, everything strictly Tuscan. Appetizer: Grandma's meatballs in tomato sauce with grain and cereal focaccia, Tuscan legume soup, mixed grill with potatoes, an excellent bottle of red wine, and some bitters. We left feeling really full.
