We ate here today by chance. The food was delicious and the waiter was lovely. It's great to find places like this every now and then. 10 out of 10.

The service was excellent, the person who served us was attractive, polite, and friendly. It was a peaceful place, and the food was very good.

Disappointed for the first time This restaurant was recommended to us by friends who know the owner (unfortunately, he wasn't there that day). So we didn't look for other restaurants in Cefalù. The establishment is located away from the center in a pedestrian alley. It's inn-style. We met a local resident (a friend of the owner) who was returning from fishing and was having his catch prepared for lunch to take home. Nice. We ate on the small terrace in the alley, and it was more convivial for a table of nine people (7 adults and 2 children) than inside, given the ambient temperature. We chose various starters and several pasta dishes, meat, and fish. Accompanied by local beers and Sicilian red wine. While the meal generally went well, with a good mood and conviviality, and the food was simply prepared but nothing more, and the service and welcome were decent, I must reflect on the customer relations aspect. When you have a bill in an inn-style restaurant that hits 400 euros in Italy, it's because you didn't keep track of the cost, and the guests enjoyed tasting several dishes, including several bottles of red wine. At the end of the meal, and not even a complimentary coffee? A real shame, because all the restaurants we visited in Sicily offered complimentary digestifs and coffees. In my opinion, it's not commercial, and even if the owner isn't there, the staff should be able to make this gesture. In my opinion, it's the worst restaurant we visited in terms of value for money.

Excellent food, service and location on side street. You can eat inside as well. Been in Chefalu 14 nights and best lamb chops here. Well worth a visit.

At Il Carretto, you eat well and feel comfortable. Located on a narrow, slightly uphill street leading directly to the Cefalù Cathedral, we enjoyed a comfortable lunch outdoors, cheered by the hospitality of the host, the father of a large family, and Roberto, who introduced us to healthy dishes that were pleasing to foreign palates. The octopus with green beans and chickpeas and the cuttlefish with potatoes were both delicious. For the first courses, both the bucatini with red mullet and the one with mussels and tomatoes were truly superb. Local white wine, Messina beer, coffee, and a liqueur, finished with a surprise almond-flavored vin santo, which was highly appreciated. Well done, we'll definitely return for their deliciousness and friendliness.

The best place in Sicily when it comes to food , service and price !!! Very authentic , greasy seafood you could smell the sea through food excellent!!!!

Small restaurant with quaint tables on a small street. Quick service, professional yet very friendly staff, delicious food, mostly Sicilian. Adequate price. Recommended.

Sulla strada del ritorno verso il porto di Palermo, ci siamo fermati a Cefalù e ci siamo casualmente imbattuti con questo ottimo locale. Curiosa sistemazione un pochino in pendenza, un pochino in discesa, il calice di vino poneva il dilemma "Sarè mezzo pieno" o "Sarà mezzo vuoto"? Antipasto, poltette di melanzane, Buonissime ho fatto la scrpetta con il sugo, Busiata mediterranea, molto buona e Arrosticini di totano, super buoni, diversi. Servizio veloce, attento e sopratutto simpatico e cordiale. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Consigliatissimo.
