Ristorante Gurme In Bologna

It's a nice, pleasant restaurant. The portions are filling and generally quiet. The meat was said to be tough, but I liked it very much. I think the lasagna is also worth a try. We chose it because we were staying at the Amelia Hotel, but overall we were pleased.

We stayed at the Aemelia Hotel last week (July 21 to 27) so it was natural to try their restaurant. The staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was quite nice and subdued. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. One night we each had the veal: it was overdone, dry, and tough. I could not finish mine. The second night (we were just so tired our last night in town that we caved and went again), we shared the beef carpaccio and then each had a primi piatti. The carpaccio with senape sauce was perfection (so the 3 stars). My husband had the bolognese tagliatelle and I had the lasagna. The bolognese did not have the depth of flavor that we've come to expect. The lasagna was pretty bad. I think it had been prepared and stored for maybe a week prior to when they portioned off some for me and re-heated it. I cannot recommend them if you are looking for an elevated experience in dining.
