The tagliatelle and lasagna Bolognese are absolutely amazing.

We came here to escape the heat, and the tiramisu and gin and tonic tasted like heaven! 🥰

I enjoyed an excellent plate of tortellini in brodo with parmesan, accompanied by a delicious glass of Pignoletto frizzante white wine from the hills of Bologna. I was alone in this small, vintage restaurant in the heart of the "Mezzo" market... the service was friendly and efficient. A lovely discovery.

At Mercado di Mezzo, the desserts aren't exceptionally good, by the Italian average. However, if you want to enjoy desserts and coffee at a reasonable price, it's a good option. Their coffee, in particular, offers excellent value for money.

I had little time for lunch because I had to catch the bus, so without wasting time looking for a place that was open and available, I decided to head to the market but at the same time, looking for something at least traditional (so not arancini or pizza), so I chose Sorelle Rebelli, which offered typical Bolognese dishes. I was really pressed for time and exhausted from rushing, so I politely and apologetically asked the waiter if they could speed up the service. The waiter was very kind (throughout the service), and indeed, they were very quick (although it probably helps that I doubt all the food is fresh). I ordered an appetizer of two tigelle, stracchino, and mortadella (€7). Not bad, it certainly wasn't top-quality mortadella, but at that price, what can I expect. Afterwards, I ordered a plate of tagliatelle with ragù (€9.50). I agree with those who found them a bit overcooked, the ragù... well, it's definitely not supermarket-quality, but not among the tastiest either. And this time, €9.50 is the average price in the area, so I can't comment on the appetizer. Edible, though. Total bill, including water and service charge (very, very basic, with tables very close together inside, but we're at a market): €20. So, it's a very inexpensive little place inside the market. Obviously, you can't expect exceptional quality, but if you're in a hurry and looking for something cheap, it's all quite acceptable.

We stopped for lunch just yesterday and had a medium platter with a basket of tielle and gnocco. The little place inside the market is characteristic. We were welcomed by the very friendly Chiara to whom we promised next time we would have the tiramisu that she recommended so much 😉

they should call it the Sahara desert not tagliatelle Bolognese because there is no sauce, prepare your mouth for overcooked pasta to the point its stale and crunchy, and be VERY generious with the parmesan because there is little to no flavor

A well-made Spritz for 6 euros + a tray of crisps/tarallini at a table in the centre, in my opinion good value for money if you're looking for a quiet aperitif

A great place to eat. I highly recommend the cannelloni and the desserts. The staff was really friendly, and they even kept a bag I forgot there. Excellent service, thanks.
