Delicious pizza, excellent service and breathtaking view. Highly recommended!

Certainly an excellent restaurant, in a location that alone deserves 1000 stars, right in the main street. with a view of the bay which enhances it even more, almost impeccable service with just a few small uncertainties and inattention, perfect for a romantic dinner, but also for more informal lunches with family or friends, good fish dishes, well presented, and excellent first courses and appetizers, a restaurant that we take the liberty of recommending if you are looking for something a little more refined than the usual tourist restaurant, certainly the price is not that of an inn but it doesn't have to be given the context just described, the wine list with mainly labels is also excellent of the territory, the regulations for Covid prevention are followed, we would like to point out, however, that there may be difficulties for some types of disabilities due to the steep entrance staircase, clearly do not think of finding parking nearby.... Reservation recommended.

The 2 stars for the service only for the person who takes the lead, not very polite and not very respectful, certainly has no way of dealing with the customer

We visited the Granduca while on a tour in Taormina recently. We were a large party of 12 that they were able to accommodate in 2 separate table. Overall the food was good, the delay was just out of this world and made us late for the bus ride. One of the tables got the food, ate, and even had dessert- ALL WHILE the second table had not even received their main course yet. And when we were FINALLY able to locate a team member to ask about the hold up, they kept saying "2 minutes, 2 minutes"... when I got up to see, it was that they had forgotten the meal- which of course happens, they could have just been honest about it in the first place instead of ignoring us and saying "2 minutes" when really it was 20. The views are great, the food is alright, and the service could improve.

Excellent quality of fish, pasta with bottarga unfortunately behind cooking and too tasty

Place located overlooking the sea, very nice inside too. Staff made up of professionals and ready to satisfy the needs of diners. I had the pleasure of tasting both the pizza and first courses. Everything excellent. Highly recommended!

Located in the center of Taormina, Granduca is a very nice place. I chose the Pizzeria solution with some friends. Normal pizza that didn't make me crazy. Very nice atmosphere and service not the best

We arrived in a nice place, well furnished and with a truly suggestive view of the sea. Both the restaurant and pizzeria areas are equipped with large windows that offer a breathtaking view, especially at sunset. However, the experience was partially compromised by an unpleasant odor that greeted us upon entry and continued to persist throughout the evening. We couldn't figure out the exact source, probably some nearby table. Moving on to the food, I ordered a Palermo style cutlet which was undoubtedly very good, well cooked and tasty. Unfortunately, the side dishes left a lot to be desired: half a boiled asparagus, a boiled potato and a mash that, in consistency, was as hard as concrete. They definitely could have done better. My friends opted for pizza, which comes in a wide range of choices, including some gourmet options that looked really interesting. However, there was an inconvenience: one of my friends ordered a pizza with courgette flowers sautéed together with other things ("zucchini flowers"), but there was no trace of the courgette flowers. When asked for explanations, we were told that the flowers had melted during cooking together with the courgettes. An answer that left us perplexed. Furthermore, we found the pizzas a little heavy, so much so that we weren't able to finish them all. In conclusion, the restaurant certainly has strong points, such as the spectacular view and some interesting proposals on the menu. However, there were several aspects that detracted from our experience, from the problem with the smell to the side dishes and the lack of ingredients on one of the pizzas. With a few adjustments, it could become a truly pleasant place for an evening.
