We went there for dinner without a reservation. The welcome was pleasant, and the food arrived quickly. From that point on, things went awry. There were bone fragments in the lasagna. We pointed this out to the waitress, and she explained that this was normal, as the ragù is made with rabbit, and some rabbit bones are too small to remove. There was no mention of this on the menu, and there was no information about it when ordering. We finished eating after the waitress informed us... because fishing bones out of your mouth isn't really nice.
The table wasn't cleared, and at some point I asked for the bill. It arrived, and the plates were still on the table.
When a second waiter saw this, a minor argument broke out between the waiters, and we weren't spoken to in a friendly manner again.
We were glad when we finally left the place.
It was a shame, because the atmosphere was very inviting and promising. Maybe it was just the wrong day.

The outdoor garden is very pretty, and the waiters are friendly. The food is good (the rabbit was perfectly cooked), and the portions are, however, a bit small for the price. Overall, a good restaurant.

We went to this beautiful restaurant in the historic center of Volterra today. My 8-year-old son really enjoyed the pappardelle with wild boar ragù. The owner was very kind. The atmosphere was very refined. Highly recommended.

Excellent service!
Our waiter was absolutely fantastic... including his wine recommendation.
For me, this restaurant is one of the best I've visited in Italy so far.

Bel ristorante quasi nascosto nel centro della bellissima Volterra, molto caratteristico ed elegante. Siamo stati molto bene a pranzo di passaggio, servizio preciso e puntuale, buon menù con piatti molto ricercati, un calice di rosso che non può mancare, conto nella norma. Posto consigliato, ci tornerei sicuramente

Se un locale viene segnalato da diversi anni dalla Guida Michelin un motivo ci deve pur essere. Situato proprio dietro la piazza principale e il castello, offre un menù vario e completo con una carta dei vini interessante. Il personale è attento e preciso, il servizio ottimo. In due abbiamo preso un piatto di fettuccine al ragù imperiale con fassona, cinta senese e chianina, un risotto ai carciofi e parmigiano, una guancia di manzo stracotta al morellino di scansano con purea di patate e sformato di finocchio e uno sformato di zucchine con lardo di colonnata. Le porzioni non sono enormi, il conto, 79 euro, giusto per la location, il servizio, la qualità del cibo e delle materie prime. Se volete togliervi uno sfizio qui non vi sbagliate
