The place is nice by the lake and even though the day was very hot on the porch it was nice. The food is excellent at fair prices. TOP boatswain's calamarata!

Great place to eat. Apparently a number of locals, always positive. No tourist food, but well prepared food. The focus is very much on the meat you order, if you want something extra, order it separately. Nice square and view of the lake. Only one person's service was a bit curt.

We both had lasagna alla carbonara which is what I translated it to mean. First we had aperol plus aperitivo which was nice but too generous. The lasagna while not looking appealing was actually super tasty. We also shared a half bottle of very nice barolo wine and delicious tiramisu. Staff were mostly pleasant although one not as pleasant

First time we tried the place and we were very satisfied: wide choice of dishes and excellent wine/beer list, quality food (amazing fried fish), more than adequate portions, good service as well as value for money. All served in an enchanting position overlooking the lake. We will definitely be back!

Ritorante storico in piazza del popolo che grazie alla sua tradizione e al menù con vasta scelta di piatti di terra e mare, offre un ottimo servizio e un buon rapporto qualità prezzo, cosa non facile da trovare ad Arona. Bel colpo d'occhio la cucina a vista, ma anche sotto il portico...vista spettacolare!

04/08/2024: Locale molto curato e particolare. Una pausa con i caffè provenienti da tutto il mondo, biscottini e assaggi di liquori. Accoglienza stupenda, è sempre un piacere parlare con il proprietario. Consigliatissimo!
17/06/2024: We had a lovely experience here for a morning caffè and cappucino--nice servers and a cute place. Our coffees were fine and one of our better experiences in two weeks of disappointing coffee. But this is Italy, and coffees should be more than "just fine."

08/06/2024: Nice place directly on the banks of the Ticino, the cuisine is very good, the chef is able to cook many delicious dishes and the choice on the menu is vast, I recommend the fish-based dishes, but the land ones are also very good, they are I was impressed by the fresh pasta with cheese and pepper, never eaten so good, also the fried foods are not bad, low prices and helpful waiters, midday menu at a fixed price €12 including drinks!!!
