This is clearly a neighborhood favorite. The ambiance is not modern. The food is great and you can see that they have loyal customers. The price is right- even cheap for Milan. This is a classic, trendy hot spot.

Yesterday at dinner with friends. The pros: nice environment, attentive waiters, good desserts, friendly staff, very good first course with mushrooms The cons: My second course (fish dish at Stefano's 26 euros) was neither grilled, nor baked, nor even close to decent, these fish (bream and prawns) were floating in a kind of broth with a brown or stock stock of fish. Esselunga fish with stock cube. Stefano this dish should be eliminated and replaced.

I had dinner here with a friend on recommendation of a very friendly taxi driver. We very much enjoyed our stay from start to end, the food was very delightful and the atmosphere was amazing. This is really the authentic Italian restaurant you’re looking for. Especially the owner Celestino & The chef make a great team with all the staf working together, you feel welcome from the moment you enter. All this said, you know where to go! 15/11/2024: If you are looking for an authentic corner of Milan, Il Piccolo is a must-see. Located in a quiet area of ​​the city, this restaurant combines tradition and creativity, offering both Milanese cuisine and more modern options. We started with the mondeghini, the typical Milanese meatballs, which turned out to be an explosion of genuine and well-balanced flavours. Next, we opted for the tortellini, served with the Milanese risotto cream and filled with the ossobuco filling To conclude, the tiramisu was: creamy, light and with the right balance between sweetness and coffee. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service friendly and attentive. A perfect choice both for an intimate evening and for a lunch with friends. "Il Piccolo" manages to enhance the flavors of tradition with a care that conquers at the first taste. Perhaps a little small portions for the price but highly recommended!
