The food was very good but we had to wait a very long time for them to give us our food after we ordered, maybe an hour. Also, they never gave us bread, we had to ask for it unlike everyone else. Overall very good food but the service was bad that day

If you're a food purist, this is not your place; don't come.
This is a restaurant born in the 1980s, a product of those years, when people ate healthy and natural food,
where you didn't have to consult recipes by Artusi or scholars just to sit at the table, and years when cream in sauces and dishes was commonplace.
If you come with an open mind, regardless of your political or social background, and understand that both the food and the decor of the restaurant are part of a bygone world, which can be viewed with open and curious eyes to discover that generation of Italians who, for better or worse, were part of our history, you can come here and perhaps you won't mind.
Fair prices, generous portions and sauces, friendly service, a bit of background noise, but we're not in a library, lots of foreigners... and finally, the beautiful Mary who wanders around the dining room, checking and making sure everything is to your liking...
She's the soul of the place and also the body (and what a body...), moving quickly and decisively throughout the evening, finally waiting for you at the cash register... and you discover that, despite the ads on websites where she appears tough and arrogant, she also has a heart of cream.

The food? Honey, let’s talk. Every plate arrived looking like it was styled by Vogue. I almost didn’t want to eat it — but my stomach said “method acting, let’s go.” The flavors slapped (in a classy way), and whoever made the sauce clearly knows witchcraft.
The drinks? Dangerous. Two cocktails in and I was suddenly fluent in compliments and poor decisions.
Service? Flawless. My waiter called me “darling” and I’ve been emotionally attached ever since.
Minus one star because the dessert was so good it made me question my life choices. How dare you, OSCAR, make my diet plan look like a bad joke?

The owner and the people working in this place seem to have fun, and that creates huge difference for those who eat. It is a great place to eat , and even greater to return to. Food is great, wine is great and the atmosphere is perfect. Have fun.

The food was delicious. I ordered the Gnocchi al Oscar and my wife ordered the Spaghetti al Cabonara. The wait for the food was long but it was worth it.
The Gnocchi was soft and pillowy while the Cabonara was delicious and creamy. The food was incredible. The servings were big which made out first meal in Italy one to remember
Also a huge shout out to the boss lady doing the rounds. She was killing it all night

Authentic, delicious, and full of character. This is the kind of restaurant you hope to find when visiting Milan — proper local food, family-run, with real soul. The food was excellent and everything was served fast.
The atmosphere is lively, warm, and unapologetically Milanese — packed with locals and regulars. Oscar himself walked in while we were there, and his daughter was running the show with grace and efficiency. The staff were fantastic — quick, friendly, and clearly love what they do.
Highly recommended if you want a true taste of Milan — great food and great people. We’ll definitely be back.

Può capitare la serata negativa e oggi è toccato a me. Partiamo dal cameriere che si presenta malissimo con una bottiglia di vino già aperta e qui possiamo parlamene ore e ore. Il locale era pieno e sapevamo di attendere ma quando dopo 20 minuti dall’ordinazione arrivano 3 commensali e dopo neache 10 minuti gli arriva l’ordine intero no non ci sto! Dopo che i commensali accanto finisco a noi ancora devono arrivate le portate e questo è davvero di cattivo gusto. Dopo una lunghissima attesa di circa 1 ora arriva il primo solo un primo i tre secondi aspettiamo con fiducia ( ordine 1 primo e 3 secondi ). Dopo altri 10 minuti arrivano le Cotolette alla Milanese e sono felice di dire la miglior Cotoletta che io abbia mai mangiato. Un consiglio senza essere maleducato , sul muro avete una targa che dice: Lavorate sempre come se il Principale vi fosse sempre accanto. Un consiglio togliete quella targa perché non vi rispecchia. Grazie e spero che questa critica vi farà ragionare nel trattare i clienti tutti allo stesso modo.
