Siamo stati in questo ristorante in famiglia venerdì 26 luglio 2024. Il titolare, Marco Pignotta, è un validissimo oste, grande conoscitore delle lavorazioni del pesce, del vino e degli amari, capace di consigliare ottimamente ogni pietanza. Un ottimo ristorante a conduzione familiare dove si respira un'aria serena e rilassata.
Prezzi medio alti, ottima la qualità delle pietanze e delle materie prime scelte!

I had marked it as a place to visit on Google Maps: four old friends went there to eat fish. One offers dinner: we pass by with a green light on the menu and wine list.
Starters: the prawns with buffalo mozzarella seemed tender in love on the plate, combined with the romantic tomato... sorry, aromatic.
The cod fillets in tempura are very fresh and crunchy, but with a slight excess of oil - here it is done against the grain -, however, first use.
The first courses: linguine with squid and heartwarming friggitelli, first prize is red prawn. Honor also goes to the mezze sleeves alla gricia and octopus, perfectly creamed, even if the octopus was a little crushed by an overlying gricia.
Followed by: abundant and dry fried fish with red mullet, sole and cod. The fish are still wondering how they could have ended up on the plate if they were swimming peacefully only ten hours earlier. The roasted octopus with potato cream, well presented on the plate, proved to be tender and very tasty.
All washed down with Pecorino and Sauvignon. By the way, the winery has a long and satisfying list for all budgets and tastes, although we didn't see any rosés.
We conclude with a Calabrian Pizzo truffle, a tiramisu reinterpreted with coffee granita, and a ricotta cream and pine nut dessert. The desserts are also first choice and not at all banal. The sommelier waiter had them accompanied by a special raisin wine in a small bottle, which was also finished: superlative, and I'm not at all a fan of raisin wines.
There was a sip of Port Charlotte at the end of the bottle, with, incredibly, soapstone in the whiskey glass to absorb a couple of degrees of temperature.
The place is in a rather anonymous neighborhood, and it was crowded. Sober, tidy, clean and not noisy. Despite some slight delays in the supply of bread and wine, the service was of the same quality as the dishes offered, very high for everyone. Friendly and affable without being affected, the staff is careful to tune in to the needs and typology of the customer. Optimal flow timing. All the right portions for a full dinner.
I haven't seen the bill, I can only assume: adequate.

Ottimo ed elegante ristorante di pesce vicino alla zona San Paolo di Roma alle spalle della Cristoforo Colombo. Menù del giorno su lavagnetta dentro e fuori il locale. Personale molto gentile ed attento. Provati sia antipasti, che primi, che secondo che dolci. Ottimi secondi pesce, fritti ed il dolce. Primi li avrei preferiti più semplici (classici) Unica pecca i tempi di attesa, non brevissimi. Promosso sicuramente come ristorante, da migliorare tempi attesa e sui primi sarei più semplice

Very interesting restaurant and must be interpreted in the right way to fully enjoy it. Let me explain: top quality raw materials (fish), super desserts, top fried foods. What do I mean... dishes that enhance the raw material such as raw meats, carpaccio, mussels, fried foods are at the top... like the desserts. I still have to delve into the rest of the cuisine... to the eye it looks like good fish cuisine without a lot of unnecessary "cheff".
