We stopped in Parma and went to the Cocchi restaurant for dinner. All the pasta is homemade, the trio of tortelli and the anolini in capon broth were excellent, followed by the cotechino and sublime mashed potatoes, never tasted so good... and finally, the cream ice cream served by the trolley with zabaglione and chocolate chips was truly delicious. Thanks to all the super kind and professional staff... We must return on our next visit to Parma...

An impromptu dinner was a wonderful surprise, thanks to the delicious food and the special, warm welcome we received. I highly recommend anyone to stop by. The prices are fair, reflecting the quality of the dishes served. The gelato at the end left us speechless. Thank you.

Elegant Setting but Disappointing Experience At first, we were very impressed by the refined atmosphere at Ristorante Cocchi – white tablecloths, an elegant dining room, and a well-dressed, mature Italian staff that gave the place a classic charm. Wanting to step outside my usual vegetarian choices, I ordered the veal with porcini mushrooms, which was the daily special. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a real disappointment. The portion was small, with more fat than meat, and I ended up leaving half of it on the plate. From the table next to us, the pasta with porcini looked far more appealing – perhaps that would have been the better choice. Dessert, a duchesse-style little cake, was overly sweet and unbalanced. Finally, when the bill arrived, the third disappointment: €94 for two veal dishes, a dessert, two glasses of wine, water, and coffee. For what we received, it felt very overpriced. Overall, Cocchi has the atmosphere and the service of a fine traditional restaurant, but the food and value fell far short of expectations.

The cuisine is respectful of the local area and the rhythm of the seasons. The off-menu dishes featuring porcini mushrooms were particularly well received.

Non grande, silenzioso, vicino al centro, con uno stile e un'eleganza di altri tempi. Menu focalizzato sui prodotti e sulle pietanze locali. Ottimi i primi piatti e i vini; vitello tonnato da migliorare.
