Ristorante Calafuria In

Beware of some incorrect photos; this isn't a restaurant (I've been to one, and it cost me a fortune), but rather a wonderful two-level terrace overlooking the sea and the sunset. The atmosphere is youthful, with a live DJ setting the right vibe and a €12 aperitif. The price is very fair considering the buffet is unlimited and quite varied; I can also guarantee it changes daily. I recommend having the blonde girl with short hair make you the included drink (and any additional drinks throughout the evening); her mojito, in particular, is out of this world. If you like loud music, you can stay on the first level. Otherwise, if you prefer quiet and a great spot to watch the sunset, you can go down to the terrace below, which is even larger. It's hands down the best spot for a great sunset drink and dinner without spending a fortune.

Unfortunately, the dinner fell short of expectations, especially considering the prices and the type of restaurant. There were eight of us and we arrived around 10:00 PM. The first course arrived at 10:30 PM, the second at 11:30 PM: almost an hour's wait between courses. We were told it was because it was August 15th and there were so many people, but by the time we were served, the restaurant was practically empty. Some dishes were good: the shrimp and avocado tartare was delicious, and the fish seemed good quality. The spaghetti with red shrimp and burrata in the second course was also very good and creamy. Unfortunately, however, the same dish in the first course was clearly reheated, with the pasta all clumps together and practically impossible to turn. The sea bream, costing €55, was a rather small and poor portion for the price, and even though we asked for it to be filleted thoroughly, several bones remained. The octopus, however, was tough and seemed to have been prepared a long time ago. The service also left us perplexed: the staff was inattentive and not particularly organized. Furthermore, already at the beginning of the evening, the bathrooms were dirty, and the bad smell reached inside the restaurant. I understand that August 15th can be a busy day, but I don't think that can justify such poor service. Overall, considering prices and expectations, we definitely expected more.

The atmosphere is beautiful, except for a few details. In my case, we had an aperitif on the beautiful terrace—I repeat, an aperitif. We were offered a fried fish platter in the center to nibble on. They charged us the same cover charge as for lunch. You didn't make a great impression.

A truly charming location, albeit a bit neglected. The staff were friendly and the food was average. A word of advice: the bisque in the spaghetti with shrimp tartare and stracciatella was truly intense and completely covered what should have been the most prized ingredient (the shrimp). Less salt in the dishes would bring out the best in the product.

I had lunch at Precisamente Calafuria and had a truly delightful experience. The quality of the food was excellent: I chose the fresh egg pasta with shrimp bisque and red shrimp tartare, a flavorful dish, well-balanced and prepared with top-quality ingredients. The fried calamari, shrimp, and homemade potato chips were also excellent: crispy, light, and not at all greasy. The restaurant enjoys a splendid sea view, in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, ideal for a leisurely lunch or dinner. The service was also impeccable: courteous, attentive, and professional staff made you feel at ease throughout your stay. The prices are slightly above average, but absolutely in line with the quality of the dishes, the location, and the service: you can sense that care and attention has gone into every course, so the expense is fully justified. If I really had to suggest two small improvements, I'd lower the cover charge, which I currently feel is a bit outdated, and slightly lower the price of water, as it's an essential item that's often ordered multiple times during the meal. This isn't a criticism, but simply a suggestion that would make the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent seafood, refined cuisine, a wonderful view, and top-notch service. I'll definitely be back. Kudos to the entire staff!

The place is very beautiful and that's what saves them. The caciucco is DEFICIENT, but there are no wines by the glass and the dessert is very ordinary.

We had lunch today, Sunday, August 2nd. The service was quick and the food was good. The prices were slightly higher than average, but the postcard-perfect sea view made up for it.

This is my first time dining at this restaurant, located on the coast road from Livorno to Quercenella. I came for dinner, the terrace overlooking the sea offers a beautiful sunset. The food is excellent, there's a wide selection of wines, and the service is friendly and fast. It's a good value. I'll be back if I have the chance.
