As a vegan for over ten years, I know how difficult it is to find truly inclusive and well-prepared omnivorous restaurants. Often, you have to settle, but this place was a wonderful exception.
For Easter lunch, I found a surprising vegan menu, one that remained true to tradition without sacrificing creativity. The dishes were an explosion of colors and aromas, meticulously crafted and anything but ordinary.
What makes this place special is the hospitality: the staff is incredibly kind, but it's the owner who makes the difference. He's extremely attentive, open, and knowledgeable, and deeply understands the meaning of a diverse diet and doesn't treat it as a simple "substitution."
Feeling welcomed and valued on an equal footing with all the other guests is not a given. I will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone, especially those seeking cuisine that combines ethics and tradition.

This functional B&B is located along State Road 17. It has spacious rooms. Next door is an excellent restaurant, run primarily by Emanuele, who uses his grandmother's recipes.
We also tried the shop, which serves excellent cheese arancini and a wide selection of wines.

A charming place to dine with friends and enjoy truly delicious food. I was so impressed by the sheer number of plants, so beautiful! Spectacular!!

The place is very pleasant, and the atmosphere is refined and welcoming, ideal for spending an evening with friends. As for the food, the meat is definitely good, well-cooked, and of satisfactory quality.
The only downside is the timing: you have to wait a bit for your food, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're in a hurry.

Everything was excellent, and the restaurant staff were extremely professional and attentive to the customer's needs. The breakfast lady was very grumpy and didn't even smile (perhaps to those who appreciate her). My only advice would be to take a little more care of the rooms. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly kind and the cuisine was authentic and truly delicious! Generous portions and excellent prices! I highly recommend it. I stayed there for a few days and felt welcomed like family... I had considered dining at other restaurants as well, but in the end, given the wide selection on the menu, I dined at Massari every night!!! TOP TOP TOP... try it and believe it! Emanuele, the owner, is a guy with a big heart!

Massari Restaurant is far from the center of L'Aquila, located in the hamlet of Sassa, but its remote location doesn't detract from the excellent quality, both in terms of service, top-quality products, and the variety of the menu.
The food is very good, and the price is fair.
The dining room is very spacious, and the service is excellent; the staff is courteous and fast.
The meat dishes, cheese and cured meat platters, and vegetables are excellent. The bread and bruschetta are amazing!

Excellent lunch with my wife and our dog. The staff was super helpful and very professional.
The fried cod and the sliced steak with porcini mushrooms were excellent, as were the sliced chicken with arugula and cherry tomatoes, and the Catalan cream was exceptional.
