I had a cappuccino, perhaps one of the best in Ossola in terms of quality/price, the staff were courteous and very kind.

We stopped for lunch on an unexpected and unplanned break, and...the decision was never a better one! Everything was delicious in an "old-fashioned" restaurant with polite and friendly staff. I highly recommend it to those who value substance and authenticity over appearance. I'd like to say we'll be back, but it's definitely out of the way from Pavia.

We came for lunch during the Nativity Scenes on the Water festival. It was a last-minute decision, drawn in by the reviews, and we definitely didn't regret it. The menu is limited to a few dishes, but they're all inviting. We couldn't decide what to order! For starters, we had the homemade tagliatelle with venison ragù, delicious; you could taste the homemade flavor, and you could taste the venison in the sauce. In the land of toma cheese, polenta and toma cheese were a must. The Bunet for dessert was a fitting conclusion. It was all accompanied by a quart of house red wine and water for about €40 per person. Service was quick and courteous. The atmosphere is a classic mountain village bar/restaurant/pizzeria, but well-kept.

12/06/2026: We had dinner here and enjoyed it a lot. We each had the antipasto/primo/secundo combination, which works well as the portion sizes are scaled with that in mind. I had an octopus-based antipasto, this was the only course that I felt was a point or two down from perfect. Hey, it was fine, but Cannobio is a long way from the sea :) so necessarily I suppose any octopus is thawed from frozen etc. Primo was seafood pasta, delicious, tasty pasta cooked to that perfect 'al dente' texture. Secundo was Lachsforelle, not sure what the English for that fish is. A delicate smoky taste, perfectly cooked. Service at the Oasi is prompt and friendly. We liked the perky younger waiter. :) Top marks. I'm only sorry we had to leave the next day and couldn't eat there again.

05/10/2025: Very friendly, I was passing by and stopped there to eat with my daughter and even though it was almost closing time they told me there was no problem, it's a very quiet and pleasant place, everything was delicious
28/09/2025: It was a wonderful surprise... Simple place but fantastic dishes! Super professional service, we ate really well, quality food and dishes deserved top marks! Highly recommended the meat and fish tartare!
