A very sweet family-run spot where the host even brought out toys that she kept from when her son was little and gave our kids an option to keep one. Just note: they don’t make polenta at lunch, which was a disappointment, but the goulash with potatoes was still delicious, and it’s a nice quiet setting with patio seating that does not feel like a tourist trap, unlike many other places in that neighborhood.

It's always a lovely place; we've been coming back for almost 30 years. The apartments are also very comfortable. The location is very central, although unfortunately, access for loading and unloading has become increasingly difficult over the years. We really like it; it's best to try it out for yourself.

Aperol is a poor substitute—a disgrace. The lack of bike racks is a disaster. If you get a table outside near the door, someone from the staff is constantly standing in the doorway above you. The food is delicious!

That's where the Italians eat! Away from the busy streets, you'll still find traditional dishes there, and there are NO PIZZAS! The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Highly recommended!

Fabulous find off the beaten track. Cosy little family run restaurant serving delicious homely food - the goulash and polenta packed so much flavour it was total comfort food - gorgeous!! We had such a lovely evening that we went back two days later and had another lovely time. The staff were amazing and very friendly - if I’m ever back in Riva, I’ll definitely go back to Alpino.

We've been coming to Alpino for several years now whenever we're in Riva, and we've never been disappointed.
We especially recommend the goulash and the spaghetti with seafood – both dishes are superbly prepared and always delicious. The quality is consistently good, which is why we always enjoy coming back.
