Ristorante Al Giardinetto da Severino In Venezia

Went for dinner. Quite busy but service was pleasant and attentive. Appetizers, food, wine all above average. A teeny bit on the expensive side, but atmosphere food and service seemed worth it.

This is a hidden neighborhood gem for a romantic epicurean Venetian adventure. We had dinner here our first night in Venice. We chose this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. We ate in the romantic inner garden and had delicious gnocchi and the local traditional Cuttle Fish “Alla Veneziana” with Mais Corn and ended with Tiramisù. We paired this with their enjoyable house Chianti Classico Reserva. My wife rated the gnocchi as the best she had ever had. I had the Cuttle fish with black ink because it is THE local favorite and I had never had it before. It was harmless. Not great, but not bad either. But now I can say I have experienced it..because it is not available at Italian restaurants where I live This is a perfect choice for a wonderful Venitian dinning adventure-Mangia Bene!

È la seconda volta che ci rechiamo presso questo ristorante e ci troviamo sempre molto bene sia per la qualità del cibo sia per l'accoglienza. È uno dei pochi ristoranti tipici veneziani dove apprezzi la cucina locale. Molto cordiale e competente il personale di sala. Occorre prenotare perché il locale è sempre pieno

This was the best food I had while in Venice. I also must eat gluten free and our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. He even specifically went to inform the kitchen he had a gluten free table. I had the gnocchi and it was the best I've ever had! The ambiance is quiet and romantic as well.
