We are here two nights, the food is very good and there were soany options on the menu we needed to return a second time. Service was attentive without being over the top.
The Porcini mushroom rice dish (for 2 people) was just brilliant.
The wine is reasonably priced.
Plenty of food restaurants to try in Monterosso but this is definitely worth a visit.

Pretty average experience. Food was OK, ordered the lasagna and beef tagliata. Not very good service. However, the atmosphere is nice. Plenty of seating, no need to reserve in advance.

We had a very late meal here after a long sunset boat ride. The octopus was tender and delicious as was the pesche del giorno. I'd go back

Visited al Carugio twice while in Monterosso... food was fantastic especially seafood... good selection of GF options. Staff very friendly. Selection of local wine...overall good value... reservations recommended

This is THE family ristorante you need to visit. Delicious food, oh my God and the Bolognese sauce we had to get a side dish for dipping the bread in. You will make a pilgrimage here to get the stuffed muscles. The seasoning and sauce alone speaks to your soul, and now my heart aches knowing we have to leave and go back home. We have experienced "grandpas" cooking and the wife and I are already making plans to revisit just for this Ristorante.

Excellent food, fresh fish, welcoming location and very kind staff... the only flaw is charging 16 euros for trofie with tomato sauce for a 15 month old baby, it seems excessive to me...

We visited here during a cruise excursion. The atmosphere and food were great.
However, it took a while for the food to be served after ordering. (This may be normal in Italy.)
When the food took so long to arrive, we asked, and were told it would take another 10 minutes.
When we told them we would cancel because it would not arrive in time, they said it would be ready in 3 minutes, and the food was served.
