Ristorante Al Carugio In Monterosso al mare

This place was one of our favorite dining stops in Cinque Terre! The restaurant was recommended to us from the place we were staying at (a Ca da Alba). Very charming place in the heart of Monterosso with outdoor seating. We wanted to try the pesto (the region is known for it) and anchovies and we were not disappointed! The anchovy appetizer was fresh and delicious. I do not like the way anchovies are prepared in the U.S. and this was a whole different experience. It was perfect with a little squeeze of lemon. We also loved our dishes. My husband got the local specialty trofie pasta with pesto- which was our favorite. I got the gnocchi pesto which was also very good. Overall, we really loved this place. A great local spot for Monterosso!

Very good restaurant, we went there 2 days in a row. Hearty and very good dishes, take fish in all its forms. Correct price

We chose fish of the day (bream/orata) and lasagne and it wass goooood :)

Like the Italian grandma's, the girls speak French, the food is good, the atmosphere is great.

Good Italian food. The staff is a typical Italian... sometimes is looks like very angry 😠.

Cadre agréable, amour de la cuisine et du faire connaître la culture italienne. Belle déco, bonne musique d'ambiance, dans une ruelle aux couleurs de l'Italie, tout est fait maison. On a testé plusieurs mets, les gnocchis sont à tomber, les doses sont bien servies, les raviolis sont magiques et la tarte au citron est sublime !
