Ristorante Africano Adal In Bologna

The restaurant is located in a quiet area, and the interior is very spacious. Four of us came for lunch on a Saturday and, at the manager's suggestion (?), wanted to try the house specials. It was a perfect choice: I wasn't thrilled with the lamb ragù, but the rest of the food was exceptionally good, even though I'm not a fan of spices. The meat was delicious, and the various legume-based sauces paired perfectly with the stew. I didn't particularly appreciate the traditional bread (too spongy), the papaya/coconut/mango desserts, or the special coffee they have, the name of which I can't remember (spiced with ginger and cumin). The wild fennel bread, however, is worth it. Worth a try, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering it's in Bologna: €90, including drinks, for four of us. We ate a lot.

A dinner that was a true journey to Africa! The flavors are authentic and rich, the dishes are carefully prepared and truly delicious. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of atmosphere, making you feel like you've been transported directly to the African continent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for those who want to discover new culinary traditions without leaving Bologna.

Wonderful restaurant with delicious food. Definitely try the chicken thighs. They're heavenly. Maybe try the Madagascar rum. Just let them know beforehand that you only want a little bit. I had a nearly full glass and had a bit of trouble going down the stairs. 😅

For the first time in my life, I experienced true African culture! From a colorful wall to steps leading to a huge hall, I was amazed at how much care and passion went into every detail of building that place! There were just the four of us girls; the restaurant owner probably opened because we called shortly beforehand, otherwise we wouldn't have been lucky enough to stop by. We had four dishes, including their rice with vegetables and meat... what can I say, DELICIOUS!!! Everything!! Every single bite was incredible! I fell in love with that place! If I were from Bologna, I would happily return, and very often! A real 10! ✨🙏🏻 Well done, and well done to the chef and (I believe) owner!!

We had a wonderful time. Inside, the atmosphere is completely different: the atmosphere is very quaint, the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service is fast. We ate wonderfully; the samosas are fabulous, and the traditional dishes are plentiful, perfectly spiced, and the meat and vegetables are cooked to perfection. We'll be back!

We went the other night with our daughter (2 years old) and our puppy (10 months old). Super welcoming and kind. The place was super clean and tidy. They even brought us a dog bowl. Excellent food, even desserts, great value. I'll definitely be back. Fufu is so good!

Spectacular food, somewhat slow service, and a quiet atmosphere with Ethiopian-style decor. I think we were the only ones in the restaurant because it was lunch on a weekday.

Consigliato se si vuole passare una serata piacevole con sottofondo ottima musica. Consigliati Sambussa e l'aperitivo alcolico.

Cucina africana nel quartiere Bolognina, buon cibo, possibile anche scegliere piatti senza aggiunta di spezie. Buon rapporti qualità prezzo. Personale professionale e molto cortese.
