Risotteria porto Mancino In Verona

We went to the candlelight dinner last night. The atmosphere was just right, the place was very nice and well furnished, the waiters were very courteous. The food good. The croutons with the sauces were very good, the dessert was good... on the risotto I would recommend a little less cheese because they were good, cooked just right... but despite being full of ingredients what you could taste above all was the cheese and it's a shame because 'The choice was interesting. Let me start by saying that I love cheese, however if you add different ingredients such as fennel and prawns, or bacon or something else, it would be good to taste the other ingredients too and not just the cheese. Having said that, overall a nice place to spend a pleasant evening. The bill although there is a fixed price for the tasting, but one euro for an extra sauce, one euro for the extra bacon on the rice etc.. it swells a little but that's fine we were warned for goodness' sake.. next time we will stay more careful.. thanks again for the evening :)

Delicious food, interesting location (I would have preferred to eat downstairs, better decorated in my opinion) and excellent service, prompt and effective. Their reductions are the best in Verona (try the one with Amarone wine!)

I had received a newsletter for an event held on my birthday "AAA Gourmets Wanted", experimentation and mystery were the watchwords. I thought it best to book at the risotto to spend my 50th birthday with the people dear to me. Menu at a cost of €19 which included 2 starters, 2 risottos and dessert, excluding drinks and cover charge. The dishes offered were very particular and appreciated by the guests and myself. My partner had to order separately, as she was intolerant to onion. Honestly, when I booked I had mentioned this problem and I would have expected a variation of the dishes, but this was not the case. At this point, what was the point of asking first? They should have told me that it would not be possible for her to provide the event menu. Furthermore, the risottos were served on a single tray for 5 people, a somewhat reductive quantity, taking into account that when I had been there another time with my partner, they had served us with trays of the same size. I had to order 3 portions of crostini with dips so as not to leave the restaurant hungry. You pay €6 per person with a minimum of 2 and they serve you crostini with 6 dips. I ordered 3 portions at a cost of €18, a basket with a few more slices of bread, but the bowls with sauces were always 6. The dessert served wasn't bad, but on the surface it didn't look good. When booking I said it was my birthday and I hoped to have preferential treatment, but that wasn't the case. I was dissatisfied with the service and quantity of food. This time the risotto disappointed me.

Intimate and particular, I have no words.

The risottos are decent, some a little too salty, others less so. The service is good, except for the sticky tables and the plastic tablecloths that were cleaned as best they could and were not very hygienic. The environment is particular but poorly maintained and deserves a refresh. The risotto idea is good but you can do better...

A place reminiscent of old train carriages. We took the trio of risottos. The best is the one with artichokes, pecorino and bacon. Friendly staff and quick service. There are 2 shifts, the first starts at 7pm, the second at 9pm
