Rifugio Barba Ferrero In Alagna valsesia

Nice hut on great location. We just had lunch here, but it was great. Good soup and a very nice cheese/meat platter.

The Barba Ferrero Refuge was a pleasant surprise, especially from its manager. A helpfulness and kindness I've never encountered in the many refuges I've visited. We only stopped for lunch, but next time we'll try to stay a night. Highly recommended.

Climate changes and not very visible ones

The walk to get there was beautiful, even for me, who suffers from vertigo. The refuge was super welcoming, with friendly hosts! I tried the thyme and salted caramel cake—it was amazing!

Yesterday I reached this refuge that I had long wanted to visit, but what I found far exceeded my expectations: the atmosphere immediately struck me as very welcoming, every detail was meticulously cared for, and the splendid view helps, but without the love and passion of those who manage it, the experience certainly wouldn't have been so pleasant. I was served the most beautiful platter in the Alps—I speak with knowledge, having visited at least 50 refuges—and an unforgettable polenta concia...all washed down with a house wine that surprised me, and which I drank only after a careful explanation of its characteristics by the manager. I finished with a thyme and salted caramel cake, a brilliant combination. I had been told about the beautiful T-shirts, but I couldn't resist the fleece pajamas styled like a baby's onesie with the refuge's logo: truly a collector's item that I hope to pass on to my grandchildren. In short, a place of ❤️ to return to without hesitation🥾🥾

Mostly self-service, limited menu food, expensive dishes considering the quantity (apart from the polenta) of meat present, 1 litre of wine on tap 16 euros I would say too much, as there is no place to sit, so we ate on the grass...... next time sandwiches....

A wonderful location with a panoramic mountain view. We had a great time, with happy people working there, fantastic food (a vegetable soup was a great power-up for the rest of the day), wide selection of drinks, dried fruits, and desserts, which were so good! Kudos for making this place so vivid!
