A true alpine refuge, the Rifugista with a capital R and all the other letters is great: when we arrived at 8 pm, he offered us leftover polenta and stew, giving us the energy to tackle the Flua the next day! Excellent food, a warm welcome, and kind and helpful people with an incredible view of the south face of Monte Rosa! Thanks again, and we'll definitely see you again! 😄🧡🦅

A refuge with a panoramic view of the upper Valsesia and Monterosa. A beautiful hike with the option of returning via alternative routes. Extremely friendly and well-organized hosts. The menu is mountain-inspired but also very elaborate. Everything was excellent! We had a wonderful time and hope to return soon. Thanks again for your hospitality!

I enjoy the walk to the Barba Ferrero Refuge more and more each time.

Spectacular views, cool beers, excellent food, and Andrea will immediately make you feel at home. Oh, I recommend taking trail 6 from the refuge, a steep ridge that takes you straight to the foot of the glacier...

A truly fantastic refuge, located in a beautiful location. The manager was friendly and welcoming, and prepared dishes unlike anything we've ever had in a mountain refuge. We'll definitely be back.

Due to bad weather, the experience was brief but intense. We were greeted warmly and uninhibitedly by the manager, who immediately made us feel at home. The local cured meats and cheeses were excellent, explained and tasted in the best possible way, on the slopes of Monte Rosa. Bonus track: the unconditional trust in the self-service alcoholic beverages, typical of areas where people can still be trusted.
