I had fun, I enjoyed it, I breathed with my stomach and when this happens my day changes. I sit at home and think about the ones I ate. I'm not going to describe the dishes and the cooking and the presentation etc etc... I'm not in the profession, I'll leave it to the phenomena of the 3 stars to do this, those who spend once a month and want to shout it out to the world and who at home (8 times out of 10) eat preservatives. I "magno cor core" and in that I am a gold medalist. I respect my body too much to stuff it with anything and I loved everything about this experience. Even water, which is free in Rome. Finally someone who, in the center of Rome, dares to break the mold of Santa Cacio e Pepe or His Majesty Carbonara, which, for heaven's sake, may be good, but after 200 years it is also a little tired. Everyone is beautiful.

Super delicious food! They do a modern take on Roman cuisine. I’m still thinking about the nduja risotto. The beef cheek was also great.

Don't walk, run to this place if you're in Rome. It has unique and amazing dishes and give a good shift from staple Italian dishes. The vibe was great and the service was even better. My wife and I are returning to Rome to fly home and will be visiting again to try their suprise menu

Retro Bottega is an absolute gem in Rome! It’s not just a fantastic wine bar but also serves excellent coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day in the city. We enjoyed wonderful wine and coffee, both of exceptional quality. The selection of wines was impressive, and the coffee was rich and flavorful. A special mention to the staff—though I can’t recall the name of our waiter, he was incredibly friendly and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place to relax with great wine and coffee in Rome, Retro Bottega is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Disfrutamos de una cena tardía en Retrobottega - una vez que descubrimos la entrada. Vimos a un empleado afuera y preguntamos cómo entrar. El lugar es muy moderno y fresco. La cena fue fantástica. Compartimos los aros de cebolla con muhammara, los ravioles de conejo, y la calabaza y las coles de Bruselas. Todo estaba delicioso. La muhammara con los aros de cebolla estaba deliciosa. ¡Todo lo era! El servicio era genial también.

Visitamos este restaurante después de haber sido recomendado por un amigo chef y como era mi cumpleaños también! El restaurante está situado en una calle lateral y en realidad caminamos un par de veces antes de darnos cuenta de que era parte de un frente de bar de vinos. Nos llevaron a través de la zona trasera donde se encontraban las mesas del restaurante. Había dos mesas grandes y compartimos nuestra mesa con otro grupo de cumpleaños. Decidimos tener el menú degustación ‘Sabotage’ con 5 platos. También hay menú a la carta. El personal era muy atento, pero había una sensación caótica en el servicio! Honestamente, hubo algunas decepciones. La cesta de pan era básica no muy bien. No tenían Prosecco y tuve que tomar champán. De los platos - me encantó más el plato de pasta - no me gustó nada el plato de paloma y los otros platos ok. El plato del desierto era soso y nada excepcional como se esperaba! Me alegro de haberlo intentado - pero no memorable en absoluto!
