The restaurant is very large with several rooms. We were there for dinner, and I'd recommend making a reservation! The staff is very friendly. The menu is varied and truly excellent, with prices in line with the Val Badia norm! For risotto lovers, you must try the one with mountain pine, a delight. For beef lovers...the fillet is truly buttery! The desserts? Delicious! The portions are generous!

We spent a week here cycling and hiking. The family and staff are very friendly, the food is fantastic, and the price is good. In our opinion, Ustaria Posta is the perfect base for exploring the Dolomites. Don't forget to ask Igor for some great tips; he certainly didn't disappoint!

We stayed at the hotel for four nights. We loved it and would stay again. It's close to all the major tourist attractions in the Dolomites. The full breakfast and the hotel restaurant were very good and reasonably priced. Furthermore, all the hotel staff were charming and superbly attentive. We were especially grateful for allowing us to check in and out late.

The food is excellent, and the value is also good. The meat dishes, in particular, are much cheaper than at similar places.

We’re not used to staying in hotels, but Ustaria Posta made us feel completely at home. There’s a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a genuine family spirit throughout the place. The hotel strikes a rare balance: everything is run with great professionalism, yet it still feels cosy and full of character. We were there for the mountains. I rode the Maratona, and we also enjoyed several beautiful hikes together. The roads can be quite busy during the high season, which makes road cycling more challenging, but the hotel owners were always happy to help us plan good routes and give local advice. The hotel is also located next to a very busy road (mid July). We always did everything by foot and public transport thanks to the free guest pass we received at the beginning of our stay. The region should come up with a 'car ban' during certain days of the week to keep the traffic in high season under control. (laughing, but serious) The food was fantastic, and the whole experience really stayed with us. I’ll definitely be back next year for the Supermaratona. ;-) A big thank you to the owners and all the staff for your friendliness, care, and attention. :-)

Ustaria Posta is one of the most delightful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a classic Ladin-style hotel with cozy and clean rooms, friendly staff, and the best food you’ll ever taste. We were a group of four people on a cycling holiday, and we found that this was the perfect location for cycling in the Dolomites. I highly recommend it!

We were staying very nearby, but had managed to skip lunch. When we got here, dinner was not to be served for another hour, but we were invited to have beers outside and the owners brought us chips that tided us over until we could go inside the restaurant. Service was a little spotty because we were the first diners to be seated, but once seated, there was a lot of people arriving. We shared goulash dumplings and another delicious meat dish along with a total of three .5 liter beers. The total was a reasonable €52.61. Definitely would recommend this restaurant!

Consigliato!

Pizzeria Spaghetteria da Andrea

24/08/2025: We stopped in Brennero for the night. Our pizza cravings were more than satisfied at Pasta e Pizza da Andrea. We didn't even see the place because we ate outside. The waiters were friendly, courteous, and professional. The pizza was delicious and crispy, the prices were below average (at least in my area, they're more expensive), and the beer was excellent, too. Highly recommended.
10/08/2025: Amazing place: tasty food, superkind people, and a great atmosphere!! Best place to stop by when catching or leaving trains :) Beautiful place, delicious food, and the people who work there are incredibly lovely. Don't miss the chance to eat there, please! Special thanks to Isabella, best host ever. Sgd: The Rolling Guitar Lizards ;)

Chalet Rasciesa

27/08/2025: A rare funicular railway that's like new and takes you up to Resciesa very quickly. The wait is short, even though the rides aren't as continuous as with the cable cars.
21/08/2025: The hardest part of planning a trip to the Dolomites was figuring out which cable car to take and what kind of views to expect. This cable car offers the following views. (The route from Passo di Brogles to Rifugio Malga Brogles is incredibly beautiful on Google Maps. Download Maps.me for guidance rather than Google Maps. Google Maps' accuracy is poor in the mountains.) Originally, I planned to follow this route to Santa Magdalena, but it took a long detour, so I couldn't make it. Nevertheless, it was a very enjoyable trek. Personally, I was much more satisfied than Seceda, and since it's off-the-beaten-path (for the average short-term tourist), I didn't see a single Asian, let alone Korean, the entire trek. I think I trekked for about three hours without overdoing it. I highly recommend it! Here's the route I took, based on the Google Map name: 1) Funicular Resciesa - Ortisei 2) Rifugio Resciesa 3) Cristo alla Rasciesa 4) Brogles 5) Rifugio Malga Brogles 6) Costamula Restaurant 7) Return to Ortisei by bus (see Google Map times) 5) -> 6) were just ways to descend. If you've bought a pass, you probably don't need to do this. I really want to enjoy the route from 4) to 5)! For reference, instead of taking the cable car round-trip, I bought a one-way ticket, walked down, and took the bus back.
