I ate with friends! The place is small but the tables are well-spaced. The waiters are friendly. The food is good and reasonably priced.

I visited this restaurant on Valentine's Day, my first time there with my partner, and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. As soon as you enter, you immediately sense the care and attention dedicated to the restaurant: the setting is elegant, well-designed, and every detail appears meticulously considered, contributing to a welcoming and refined atmosphere. The quality of the food was truly excellent. The raw seafood was incredibly fresh and prepared with great care. The first courses were plentiful and very tasty, satisfying in both quality and quantity. Even the homemade bread was truly delicious and much appreciated; it was also carefully brought back whenever the waiter noticed it was running low, a detail that demonstrates the care they give to their customers. The desserts, strictly homemade, were also exquisite and rounded off the dinner perfectly. Overall, it was an extremely positive experience, and we will definitely be back. The only small negative is the proximity of the tables, which at times slightly reduces privacy.

This review is about the restaurant. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, though in my opinion the tables are too close together, with good background music that doesn't disturb conversation at the table. It was a dinner for two, but unfortunately the expectations weren't reflected in the flavors of the dishes. Cuttlefish julienne was drowned in a flavorless broth, and the crispy potatoes described on the menu were soggy. The other appetizer was off the menu, and I don't remember the name, nor the flavor. The cod steak was excellent, perfectly cooked, and paired perfectly with the creamed cannellini beans; you could taste the various flavors in your mouth. The purple gnocco wasn't made with purple potatoes, but rather purple potatoes and carrots, according to the waiter. The Gallipoli purple shrimp didn't make a great impression on the dish at all; they were just ordinary white shrimp, and the purple shrimp, even cooked, had an unmistakable flavor. The prices, however, were very fair for the setting. I'll conclude by saying that cuisine is always subjective. P.S. The panettone offered by the house is very good.

My overall rating is a seven, because what we ordered wasn't as extraordinary as we expected. We ordered a first and second course of meat, preceded by an appetizer. Their strong point is probably seafood, and there was indeed a large selection of very interesting catch of the day, but we weren't in the mood to try it. A distinctive feature of the place is the mignano, a balcony overlooking the entrance to an internal courtyard shared by several homes. Its purpose was to privately observe whoever knocked at the door or to enjoy the passing people in the street. The second and third floors are accessed via steep brick staircases, and there are large terraces used for catering. The menu is extensive, with generous and carefully prepared dishes.

The food was excellent. The service was very friendly, multilingual, and knowledgeable about the cuisine. We felt completely at home.

To give this jewel of a restaurant a 5 star rating is doing it an injustice. It was a mind blowing experience, not ponsy food, just brilliantly crafted. Starting with the decor which would eclipse high end boutique restaurants in L.A. or Paris. The staff were happy, welcoming, professional, and thoughtful. The food, was amazing. Cooked to perfection, it was a perfect evening. If you want to leave a restaurant with your tummy and taste-buds pining to come back for more. This is the place you need to come for an outstanding experience.
