An absolute insider tip, the waitress's recommendation won us over. The calimari fritti were perfectly seasoned 👌 The starter is enough for two people, as the pizzas were rather large. The service was very friendly and attentive. My only complaint to the restaurant owner: please get a pepper mill. This would make it look more authentic 🤌

I ate the pizza, and as always, I'm happy. For me, pizza in Pula is synonymous with Sa Macinera.

Beautiful place, we had a lovely evening with the family. The location is quiet, and it's truly a pleasant place. The service was perfect, led by very knowledgeable and friendly young people. The pizzas were served very quickly and were truly delicious. Highly recommended.

At Sa Macinera, everything is there for a great time: huge, generous, delicious pizzas, flavorful and perfectly prepared pasta, zero disappointment from start to finish. The service may be a little slow, but hey, it's vacation! The large shaded terrace at the back of the restaurant is very pleasant, perfect for enjoying a dinner al fresco. A little tip: remember to make a reservation, as it's full every night—and it's well-deserved. A sure bet not to be missed if you're spending a few days in Pula.

A pleasant surprise. Right in the center but quiet because the garden is fenced and sheltered. We ordered a first course and a sliced steak, both excellent. We only had to wait a few minutes.

An experience with many ups and downs. We booked for 9:00 PM, arrived late (9:30 PM), and our table had rightfully been reassigned. But after about 10 minutes, they seated us and prepared a new table for us; they were extremely kind. About 10 minutes passed before we could order, although the room wasn't full, which was still acceptable. We ordered two pizzas and a cheese selection. After about 20 minutes, the cheese selection arrived, delicious, with three varieties, delicious fresh pears to accompany it, jam, and honey to finish, served on carasau (a type of carasau) and salad. So, around 10:10 PM, after finishing the appetizer, we waited for our pizzas... which never arrived. We watched the tables that arrived after us being served one after the other, and, let me start by saying, it's understandable that it takes a while between courses, but in almost an hour of waiting, no one from the dining room came over to check if everything was okay or to clear the dishes already served. Anyway, at 11pm, we let them know that we'd been waiting a long time for the pizzas, and they arrived around 11:15pm. The pizza was average in terms of dough but cooked well, with a really excessive amount of mozzarella, which covered all the other flavors. The additional toppings, however, were of excellent quality, and the clams on the pizza were truly delicious. The quantity of toppings could have been a bit more, with the bottarga, for example, being really limited. In short, what could have been a really good experience could have been improved with more attentive service. It's easy to lose an order, but if you circulate around the tables a bit more, you can easily correct such a mistake (I've worked in the industry for 15 years). However, the staff is very young and extremely courteous, and I really liked that. I'd also recommend hiring a pizza chef, perhaps by preventing the waiters from finishing the pizzas, they'd be more relaxed about managing the dining room. I wouldn't order the pizza again for personal taste, but I'd definitely try the restaurant's dishes.
