A pizzeria and restaurant serving traditional Valtellina specialties and pizzas, located in the square featuring the Sanctuary and—a little further on—the frequent passage of the Bernina Express. Pizzoccheri (buckwheat flour), sciatt (fried cheese fritters on a bed of chicory), gnocchi, egg pasta, dishes featuring forest ingredients, and pizzas are all highly seasoned and high in fat.

I've been back several times and have always had a good time. The only downside is that it's sometimes closed even though Maps says it's open... but it's always worth a try.

Trattoria Valtellinese

05/10/2025: We had a great meal yesterday. Mixed salad, pizzacheri, two grilled fillets with fries, and two panna cottas. Very tasty, and the meat was cooked to perfection. We'd gladly go back. 🙂🤩
19/09/2025: Trattoria with a capital T. Here, you dine with respect for the dignity of the food. A wide selection of dishes cooked like home. Excellent quality and adequate quantities, ideal for those who appreciate good food. The prices are in line with the offerings, in the true spirit of a trattoria. Full marks.

05/10/2025: Menu changed and all from earlier reviews/picture gone from menu. All pasta is vegetarian now, maybe other people like it more than me...
03/09/2025: Very nice place to eat in Tirano. Ravioli and Linguine were both very good albeit a little small.
