Pizzeria Ristorante A' Marechiaro In Novara

We had dinner this evening....excellent food and service.

The food was delicious and quick! The kids' box was really cool! 😍 The service was sometimes very good, sometimes a bit unfriendly. Overall, highly recommended!

The other evening, while strolling around the area at dinnertime, we stopped at this place somewhat by chance, without a reservation. The staff was immediately helpful and friendly, quickly finding us a table on the outdoor terrace, which we greatly appreciated. The staff was kind and quick with their service. We ordered a baby focaccia for our son, which we found very good, and two Neapolitan pizzas, one with whole wheat dough. The pizzas looked beautiful and tasted good, but unfortunately we found the dough to be far too heavy. The edges also seemed a bit undercooked. I personally couldn't eat more than half of them, even though they weren't excessive. Overall, an experience that wasn't particularly good. I don't think we'd return, but it's fair to acknowledge the staff's courtesy and the quality of the ingredients.

Le service est très lent, les plats sont corrects mais le soir à la nuit tombée la terrasse est envahie de moustiques, c’est impossible de manger dehors et donc pourquoi servir en terrasse dans ces conditions qu’ils connaissent pourtant ???

Siete a Novara, magari in famiglia, e volete pranzare in un ristorante che offre pizza, carne, pesce e che sia di qualità? Siete nel posto giusto. A’MARECHIARO offre un menù dalla vasta scelta e dai piatti ricercati. Si consiglia il risotto con capesante e polvere di caffè. Davvero eccellente.

We visited this pizzeria on a Sunday evening (just before the show at the Broletto with the Compagnia La Goccia di Novara) on the recommendation of friends who are regulars. We hadn't booked, but they seated us upstairs in a quiet, empty room, so we could choose our preferred table. Service wasn't the fastest, but that was fine for us (I mention this because many complain about the endless waits). We ordered a Pachino pizza (with buffalo mozzarella, Pachino cherry tomatoes, and basil) and a Prosciutto e Funghi (without tomato sauce): both—which arrived together—were very good, crispy, and flavorful. The macchiato coffees at the end of the meal were also delicious. We had dinner in about 45 minutes and returned to the Broletto for the show. The location is very charming, in an old building, but the pizzeria's decor is modern: a nice contrast. If we may make an observation (also in light of the numerous complaints highlighted in many reviews below): the staffing needs to be reorganized, because there were only 6 of us at our table!!! One person showed us to our table and shortly after brought us our menus, another took our order, a third brought drinks, a girl brought the pizzas, another cleared away the plates and took our coffee orders, a third girl brought the coffees... We practically never saw the same person twice... probably, instead of each person having "their own tables" to look after, here the criterion is "whoever is free at any given time" does what they're told to do by someone "higher up" who decides how to handle the customers. Anyway... for us it was a positive experience, so... the NONZIIAZONZOs approve! 🙂

Excellent cuisine and very kind staff....

When we booked, we specifically asked not to sit on the sidewalk, and they gave us a table on the sidewalk (our request to change tables was denied without explanation). We asked for beer twice in 30 minutes. Pizza with burrata, not burrata but cream with mozzarella pieces. €13 Beautiful location.

In my opinion the best pizza in Novara, tables inside and outside, the 1st floor is not very comfortable with steep stairs, service improved since last time but they can still do a little better... In any case highly recommended.
